I think they need to sell these online because i know a few people who live out of Town. I am sure Brad Fussel could sell in Australia too.

Selling really well in the Club Shop today.

Shop is open 'til 5 on a Friday, and will be open tomorrow too. Don't forget if you look under 25, you will be asked for ID. Take that as a compliment.

Paulie a great idea but i do feel missing an opportunity not selling online,, as quite a few live out of Town and can not get to the shop. My mate Begster lives in Andover and a few of his mates want to buy. He wont be in Widnes until December.

Must be a way round it but how do you prove your 18 or over if buying on line?

Shame that they are not for sale on matchdays, that would be the biggest oppertunity to sell them.

@pascal

I also would like to buy some, but a 130 mile or so round trip means I will be unlikely to drop in anytime to get any.

Oh, does anyone know what size the bottles are? Can't quite read the labels in the photo.

@vikingsinbradford it would be the same as any other way you buy beer online… it’s the job of the delivery company/courier to check this upon delivering

They’re going to try and get it in some pubs as well. Should sell well at the Bowler, Albion and Leggys on match days.

Wonder why the club aren’t selling it on match days?

Stadium rules, I'm afraid. That said, the Club are trying to do something about it.

The bottles are 500ml (the metric pint), and for those who have purchased and tried it, the Club would love to hear your feedback.

The Council do not want to sell the beers because they want the profits on sales. I know Widnes get a small profit for each bottle sold, but how about striking a deal if sell at the stadium that it is split 50/50? So say Widnes rugby club get 20p per sale of a bottle then 10p each just for example? We all need to work together because if Widnes do well on the pitch, it will mean more people coming to the stadium. So not just beer sales there be more business all round in the Town. You know people will just go the pubs before and after the game so Widnes rugby club get the profits. We understand the Council need some money for the stadium, but working together i feel is the best solution for success. If we got more investors being successful then Super League would help for bigger crowds and sales. Leigh, Wigan, Warrington and Saints could be really big crowds if market correctly.

Listened to the Podcast with Mike Parsons and what a great job Brad is doing for the club, and it is a breath of fresh air. Selling these beers is also a good marketing tool around all the pubs in Widnes. There may become new fans who have moved into the area recently and become inquisitive once see the logo.Selling in the Viking area of Norway etc is another good idea and we can only try.

£4.50 for a bottle is a bit steep in my opinion.  I know it helps the club but they will probably need to reduce the price to entice more customers once the novelty wears off.

Are you aware how much a pint costs in 2026?

At the end of the day, if it tastes good it will sell, if not it will bomb. I don't drink alcohol, so unless they bring out an alcohol free version, I'll have to take your word for it.

Enjoy!

@pascal People go the pubs and arrive just in time for the game because you cannot buy a pint of draught beer. Nobody wants to pay extortionate prices for warm bottles of crap.
