"If Abdul plays we win. If he doesn't we lose."

Result as predicted.

I like AC and I think he has done a good job as Widnes Manager in difficult circumstances.

However, this prideful refusal to pick Abdul is damaging him and, more importantly, the club.

If he is not prepared to pick Abdul for our next fixture then he should be prepared to resign.

overall a good competitive game of rugby league by 2 sides expected to be up in the top 5 come end of the season.

Defence was a lot better than in previous games but attack wise other than the second try which was actually well worked we offered nothing.

JA could of swung the game with more tries for us but he also could have been a liability in D so works both ways. Who knows 🤷🏻‍♂️

on we move to dewsbury next another tough place to go away to

@scouseviking55

agree there - barrow no mugs but quite predictable plays

our defence was pretty good apart from a few discipline brain farts

we lack creativity in attack though

A FEW, we let them out of their half with penalties at least five times in the first half including in the last minute which led to their try!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That for me is time for Coleman to be shown the door. Had enough of Coleman picking his favourites and dropping player of the month Abdul is a joke. Coleman OUT Abdul IN 😡

No mention of Abdull in Coleman’s after match interview, and no mention of stopping the players to come and applaud the fans at the end of the match, not very good when a lot of us had spent over 3 1/2 hours getting there.

Said Sambou has done his hamstring, but Edge should play next week.

Times up for Coleman now he’s had his chance and he’s never took it, poor team selection poor man management and poor recruitment.

Abdull was fit enough to help us in the last 5 games and we win, then we return to the worst half back pairing in the championship and the results speak for them self. And the disrespect towards us travelling fans was poor shame on Coleman

Time is definitely up for Coleman this playing his mates is his downfall. Last year had project signings and does the same again. Not seen Toby Hughes, Kieran Taylor or Frank Sergent play? Waste of money and two props that he needs Bibby and Houghton do not get a sniff. If does not rate them then bring 2 decent loans in who smash it up the middle. The best sort of defence is attack and our creative halfback and player of the month is replaced by Lyons for 2 games. This lad is not good enough to be in a side aiming for top 4. This middle table every season is not good enough, and wont entice fans to come the games so we need action now.

All this great work from Tim Holmes and Dave Rolt is wasted if the product on the pitch is not good enough and a disgrace to ignore the fans after a long trip to Barrow.

I have 4 questions.

1. Whats the reason Abdul isnt playing. We won 5/6 games he played in including Oldham away and he played the full 80 mins. The only game we lost was London away. Then the 2 games he doesnt play in we get beat.

2. What happened with Bibby, he played the last 6 games last year so the perfect trial for both player and club, local as Wigan based. He was involved this year, ok 18th man for 2 games but he was involved in most games. He was contracted to us, either he signs for Salford from next season or he goes early this year once a suitable replacement is found. Perfectly normal for players to see out contracts before moving on.

3.who/why did we sign Houghton if we never play him. We are running with 3 props in a 26 man squad yet we have 3 back rowers on the bench. Hes not a young player to develop at 29 so what was the thought process. Im sure he wants to be playing and we are paying wages on a limited bugdet to a player we wont pick even though Bibby has gone. Its not like hes had a bad game as hes not played.

4. Why do we never play the new younger signings and they end up leaving. Look at Connell coming in when Maizen let us down. Would he have got that chance if Maizen stayed. Salford fans seem happy with Hughes yet we have dropped Abdul and struggled for creativity, could Hughes have been the answer, we will never know.

Recruitment strategy, 3rd time i've posted on it now.

I think the results of this year and last show coleman just isnt good enough we have no identity we play one up rugby and just look so slow and clunky.
Nothing changes same strategy and same recruitment equals another poor season incoming and for the people who say but we won the last 5 the only unexpected result there was Oldham all the others we should’ve beaten easily yet we didn’t… the warning signs have been there all season some people just chose to ignore them.

Plus with his full time antics looks like AC has lost the majority of the fans will take a monumental effort to win them back, which is a shame because the work off the pitch that Tim an others are doing is great but just been made 10x harder!

Agree but there are not that many good coaches out there that can work on our finances

douggie did it, then blew us out of the water with the bonus system ! - in fairness I don’t suppose he expected the tram to win that many in a row !
