@pauliewalnuts Not quite as straightforward as you have put it. If i remember correctly it was several days after beating Rochdale before the date and venue for the final was announced.

In the middle to late July the club was hinting that it may not take part in the final if was forced to play the Sheffield game 4 days before.

The team we would be able to field in the final has only been resolved this last week by scraping together a scratch team from all over. It has enabled us to rest our better players when it was looking like we were going to have to play them twice in four days leading to a good possibility of us not giving our best perfomance in the final. Now that has changed people may wish to attend.

All points taken.

Yesterday we received a further 600 (or was it 800?) more tickets from the RFL, and there was talk that there maybe a 'walk-up' option, too.

I hope us older fans are all well enough to attend, and hopefully see us do well on the day.
