I have not been to Wire for quite a while. Does anyone know if there is free street parking within a mile of the ground or is it pay in a car park? Can you still park for free in Sankey Street in front of the Town Hall?
The 2 big multi stories in the town centre are free on BH.
I always park on Battersby Lane it’s the 2nd exit of the roundabout at Asda, you go about 1/4 mile and there’s a pub on the left on the corner of a side street If you walk up the side street where the pub is , it takes you to the main road and you can see the ground opposite, it’s about a 10 minute walk.

The new Time Square one is, not sure about the Golden Square which is the closer.

I have booked the Premier Inn for the night after the game. I be parking early at 12pm and a few beers before snd after the game.👌
Managed to download my tickets on Monday - website did say not available to a week before so spot on.
given a seat number and turnstile entry as well so good to go

I'm in the fortunate position of being a 5 minute walk across vicky park to the station , if them wire bastards hadn't put barriers in it would be free too 😀
