Does anyone know if this Sunday’s Halifax game is on Our League app and any games after that.
I tried to book it today and it’s not registered
It’s not.
Halifax have said they’ve made the decision to stop streaming games
You can buy tickets for the Halifax game from their website, £19,00
Thanks
Wonder if we will follow suit in stopping streaming for the Featherstone game?
I hope we don’t stop streaming games as I reside in the US and it’s not possible to get to the game
plus the vimeo footage has no commentary
They will have to stop Live streaming soon unless they bump the price up considerably as its making the need to attend the games redundant for many at the moment - some people think why spend money on transport and a ticket when you can spend a fiver whilst watching from your sofa.
I wouldn't imagine the club are making too much money from non-season ticket holders at the moment.
Yeah it’s been a handy tool during the pandemic but moving forward I’m afraid these games are going to need to be priced at the equivalent of the match day ticket price.
I would like to see the streaming continue as I can't get to all the games due to my location. Possibly higher the price like £12 a game.

I think you’ve just described the Sky Sports business model for SL 👌

The difference being that Sky give all the clubs in SL £1.5m a year for that privilege...

In today’s world £1.5m doesn’t take a professional sports business very far. To compare apples and oranges United are about to make a £73m 21 / 22 year old and Liverpool have already shelled out £35m on a French kid that (let’s be fair) nobody has ever heard of and the near £110m is just the amount to buy the two kids.
Just goes to show how small time the sport of RL actually is when £1.5 m per year is seen as big money.

True, but the point is Sky has reduced the funding amount and people aren’t allowed in to the games so what are the clubs supposed to do to cover the Sky shortfall and the lack of match day revenue ..... the thought that springs to mind in this conversation is streaming and - has been said - at match entry prices if they think they can get away with it.
Perhaps I’m being too cynical but do Sky have a stake in any of the streaming companies ?
