I think we are still two props to deal with the inevitable injuries.
Wouldn’t argue too much with that unless by some miracle Tomkins is available to play in which case he’d rotate with Fozard. Think it’s probably not going to happen though. Might be tempted to start Grady and bring Lawton on for impact. Brookes will push the wingers hard for a starting spot based on what he showed last season.

What do you think are the weak links?
I have a feeling Baker will play prop and Brown at 13. Hopefully buy 2 props with experience, winger, utility centre/2nd rower. 3rd prop possible Tilleke as be cheap and that is 5 new players. I am thinking 4th for next season.

We’re still reliant on people playing out of position. Spedding isn’t a winger, Baker isn’t a prop, Brown isn’t a prop…

I like Spedding as a player but I think at centre he lacks the physical presence that is needed in today’s game.

I thoroughly agree. I prefer Roby to him at centre & hope we resign him as cover for Tyrer & Fleming. He is a good all round player & his defence is good whereas Spedding is weaker there.
Fozard spelling with Gregory should lead to a more balanced side.
Brown at LF with Baker at prop should be fine.
Agree though that we have lost Cook and Clough and replaced them so far with Dupree and Nzongou; so a bit more experience if possible would be helpful.
Not going to trouble the top of the league but I believe enough to finish high enough to qualify for the 2nd tier whatever it will be called.

All worse than Cross and Hatton.
I think having a slight hit in the quality of winger for a definite improvement in props and hookers is a fair trade off.
I think we have got better 9 options now (excluding Tomkins).
We have not yet secured the props.
Viking 25, Not sure about Holroyd. Agree on the others. But I don’t think they are massively worse and if the rest of the team is up to scratch I don’t think the wingers will be costing us many games.

I am sure Hatton has 14 tries in 31 games for us. In his last season Ince scored 20 in 26.
