Oldham and Swinton will be going down, it is unlikely Rochdale will be coming up.

Surely 2 or 3 decent forwards to be picked up there before we go down the route of any SL players, again there should be a couple to select surely.

I also think our Half-Backs are not playing well enough, is the coaching there or is it just the pack situation....I think DC has had a less than brilliant season and JL is up and down.

The sad thing is how utterly predictable this all was.

I agree & so it will remain until we can field 3 forwards on the bench & 2 props in the starting 13!

Totally agree Geoff. The first half shows we have the talent, but we just lose out physically without a front row.

And Jack Owens has been totally anonymous.

We’re in a real mess. Other than Tyrer and Baker I can’t think of a player who’s had an acceptable season.

Sorry CJ but you want to sign players from the two sides that will be relegated, Maybe that's the reason WHY they were relegated.

You are correct here but I think Lyons is totally out of his ball park but half backs are only good behind a decent pack

We got Kenny Baker from North Wales who were mid-table in the 3rd Division.....

If we could afford decent SL forwards or Australians, I would of course love that, but it ain't going to happen so the only other options are getting young players from Wigan/Wire/Saints who haven't made it, tempting good Yorkshire/Cumbrian Forwards or getting the best players from the likes of Oldham and Swinton because they are the only PT teams close.

I think taking a couple of the best forwards from those clubs plus a couple of SL fringe/young players are probably the most realistic options, failing us paying a bit more to tempt people to travel further....

Gav Roden at Crusaders looks like he could step up to this level, think hes 2nd rower, looks a unit and has plenty of pace.  I know we need props but still need size all over.

Recruitment at this level isn't going to be rocket science.

SL kids seem to struggle at first at this level and need time to bed in.

Just need to copy the better sides at this level in Fev and Halifax. Admittedly they have more choice but they recruit every year by cherry picking from Batley and Dewsbury.

Yes we haven't got the numbers of clubs around us they have but there must still be options at Oldham, Rochdale and Swinton. The fact Fev picked up Frankie Halton in the off season from Swinton who is going off to SL shows there will be others who are more battle hardened to this level over this side.

One player who we could do with coming back is tangata and I’d have a look at wellington Albert again. We could also do with looking to bring in a new fitness coach as well.

I would say we have zero chance of getting Tangata back which is a shame because he is a very solid player at this level. When he left Fax to join us first time round he was being offered full time rugby and presumably good money. I doubt he’d come back to part time after the circumstances he left in. Albert is a luxury player imo, does no grafting in defence. He would be fine as an impact player in an otherwise strong side but I don’t think he’s what we need right now.

I can't believe all the excuses people are making for the lack of effort from a number of our players. Some are not good enough to be playing at championship level, some just seen to be playing their contract out before they retire.

We are struggling with lack of numbers mainly in the forwards. How long do the club expect supporters to put up with the standard of rugby we are getting at this time. It needs to be remedied sooner rather than later. Supporters need to be given some indication of the ambitions of the club or come next season numbers will really decline. Even the most ardent supporters are at the end of their tether and we need to see some improvements soon.

Just returned from York and I have read a bit of the anger, and not a lot I can't agree with, but can't ever remember  anyone missing two penalty kicks to touch (Ray Dutton didn't) . Deon has had a great season but surely he will have nightmares about his inability to kick a ball 2 m into dead. We are more dangerous 75 yards out than in the 20.

Not sure why Jack's in the kicking position again ( ST groin issues?) but two missed conversions. These are things that need controlling.

We  will not contest the playoffs (deservedly) and we need to look upwards and onwards. Matty at 13 (more by necessity than choice) helped us to a creditable win at Bradford and a near miss at Featherstone but wily Yorkshire coaches have negated this.Next move?

York have paid top whack for a poor season. I'm not too sure if they will be there if next season yields a similar response

Stadium is tidy. £5 return from the station on a bus  is a bit pricey. Poorly stewarded, as Spelly warned us,  but will be in communication with the powers that be regarding homophobic abuse of the players (reported at half time and ignored) and consistent abuse (defended only by the great and good normal YRL supporters). Its hard enough watching us atm without this. If no response RL Express amongst others beckon.

If we're going to sign forwards who've sat the whole season out with injury, I'd rather take Lewis Hatton from Swinton.

Our 3/4s are as good as most in this league; Owens & Craven, for whatever reason, are going through bad spells; Lyons shows promise but is learning his trade; we need two starting props (real ones, not stand ins), plus two on the bench together with a back rower and a hooker.

Baker is working his socks off each week, however is not a prop playing 80 mins each game, he is a hard working no.13.

Give him a chance to show what a player he can be.

Our injury prone aged props need to be replaced.

Easy for me to write, hard indeed for our coach to comply with the squad he inherited and presumably no money to recruit now at this time of the season.

Why the change of goalkicker? Tyrer is the better kicker but is he injured?

Got to assume Tyrer has some sort of injury niggle preventing him from goal kicking as the standard of his kicking has been excellent this year. Owens is a decent kicker despite those two misses today but it strikes me as very unlikely that the change has been made based on goal kicking merit alone.

If Dewsbury beat us next week, and recently they usually do  especially on their own ground, we will find ourselves in 12th place. One spot above the relegation zone. I cant see Oldham or Swinton getting enough wins to overtake us, but 12th in the Championship!!
