Not an easy place to win despite Whitehaven’s position in the table and good to be back to winning ways after a couple of close losses against good sides. Need to back it up by beating Sheffield.

As usual, enjoyed the Radio Merseyside commentary today, but expected James to be in the team.

Just watched JK’s post match interview. It’s no wonder to me that the players are playing so well with such an experienced and articulate coach.

Good game and a Decent following. Probably should have put the game to bed earlier but we played a very simple game plan that was largely an arm wrestle. Still it was job done.

Highlight of the day was the old fella from Whitehaven who would chase the officials up and down the touchline all game giving them abuse. At fulltime he stormed around the stadium to have a few words as the officials clearly were not taking his advice seriously for the previous 80 minutes.

He wasn't very happy.

Just back from Pinkies getting into a habit with these performances. Looking forward to next season, especially if rumours are true of some players who will be a step up. 🥖🥖🥖🍾👍

In the interests of “balance” does anyone on here who went today think that the ref had a shocker? Same guy who got booed off at our place. The haven forum is united in its criticism of mr Moore.

Ref was equally as poor for both teams, they usually are. Missed a blatant forward pass for their first try build up. Missed things we did wrong.

Refs are rarely biased, but blaming them gives you an easy out when you lose. Widnes fans are as bad as any for that.

My one criticism is that Ian Chisnall doesn't tell you where the play is!! Like 'on the 40metre'   --- Whose!!!!!! John Lawless give more precise picture- but good coverage!!!!!

Interesting info that Haven only had one change left at half time, obviously hoping for scores and then a shut out second half!

He may have made mistakes for both teams, but disallowing a perfectly good try for Widnes just before halftime, meant that his bad decisions helped Whitehaven more than Widnes.

Plus the missed forward pass for their first try?
