Considering the state of our attacking play with 2 hookers spare that are not being used for what ever reason I can’t believe he hasn’t at least tried fozzard in the halves and hulme and Gregory rotating at hooker surely worth a go at this stage

Imagine that might happen against Batley. If Roby is not fit Lyons might need to switch to fullback. Meaning the above scenario might be the only valid option.

Apparently the crowd yesterday was 3854. Not appalling but 2000 down on the equivalent game in 2019.

If Brown is fit, could he play Stand Off?

If there were actually 3854 buns on seats yesterday then I’m a Dutchman.

Obviously they’ve included season ticket holders who didn’t attend. I am usually surrounded by supporters sitting in their designated south stand seats, but yesterday I was one of the few.

@frankg I’ve said for a few weeks now Lloyd Roby should be playing at 6 or 7,Intelligent player got a bit of Karle Hammond about him with ball in hand

Defeat against Batley and Finnigan has to go no two ways about it.

@d-day Needs to shifted now, we wont beat Batley. Team's clueless, Finnigan's had his chance. Can't live on past memories but............ we are 'Widnes', yes Widnes. Surely we can do better, otherwise it's oblivion.

Should never off been appointed yet another bad decision by our constantly unseen and voiceless CEO. The buck stops with him.

We could do no worse than sack Finnegan and put Matty Smith in charge. a change of leadership more often than not reaps dividends, Willie Poaching being the prime example.

Not sure Poching is a good example, Wakefield beat a poor Wire team twice and that's about all.Even Leeds hammered them with further hammerings from Wigan and Cas.Smith would make no difference at all, in my opinion.

Can't actually argue with the earlier comment to put Smith in charge. As players was far better than Finnegan and played in an organisational position.

There must be another lower league Aussie out their to sort us out. Another Anthony Singleton  Paul Marchant or Jason Demetriou to step u and make a career for themselves.

@toeknee-myler

I was saying this yesterday. There are no overseas players in the Widnes squad.

Whitehaven got some decent overseas players last year and got to 6th. Are we just not bothering to look?
