Obviously not expecting a great deal, hopefully a committed performance and taking the game competitively into the last 20.

Looking at the announced Leigh squad, 5 ex Widnes players (Brand, Mellor, Chamberlain, Sidlow, Inu). Strong side.

Not much optimism here either, just hoping we acquit ourselves with credit and don’t pick up any more injuries. Bit of a sad thing to say, but I’m glad we haven’t to back up and play again on Easter Monday after playing Leigh.

A good fighting performance will do and keep score down with good defence - maybe at best a 20+ defeat, but a win (and a miracle!!!) would really lift spirits again - that is until the next defeat!!!

It's a shame, this could have been a big game in front of a big, bank holiday crowd but now it's a non event.Leigh by 32, crowd 4100 including 1300 away fans.

Unfortunately with the team we’ve got out if we keep them to a win of20 we’ll have done well, but think it will probably be 30+, and the crowd will be nearer 3,000 than 4.

Just hope we don’t get any more injuries and we can get a couple of players back for the Batley match

Weather forecast is 19degrees and sunny, so the sunshine may bring hope of a decent performance. I’m just hoping I test negative tomorrow! 😷

I think Sinbad has the attendance figures about right. It’s a bank holiday fixture against a well supported local rival, and good weather should mean 4,000 plus.

it’s the Batley game where the attendance figures will be a problem. After another loss and with poor away support we will struggle to get anywhere near 3,000 through the turnstiles.

Think you are about right there, Leigh will bring a good following all wanting to witness a massacre

still hoping we may make a game of it though, sneak it in the last minute as Leigh have had 3 sent off, crowd 4200

Nice day for it anyway. Good luck to the lads!

Be good to see us be competitive, last home Good Friday game was brilliant.

Record home loss v Leigh is 54-12 in 2006 btw, hopefully nowhere near that territory but if we play like we have v York and Newcastle we will be lucky to get 12!

Pascal feels horney with this glorious weather. Thinking to take my drum into my Gold seated area and hopefully get the South Standers rocking with Passion. 😂👍

Fozzard to play 80 minutes again? No other hooker in the squad. I would have started with Doro at prop & Baker at 13.  IMO strange selections again.

Well I suppose the kind of result that many expected.

Effort was there, particularly in the first half.

Injuries to the backs didn't help.

Poor selection again, Fozard was shattered by 55 mins. Forwards were decent.

Abject in attack.

Very important that we win v Batley.

Sadly seem to be repeating the same mistakes - first try came off full-back being too close to defensive line, albeit a wicked bounce. The Fozard situation is baffling, happens every week. But not why we lost.

Forwards did themselves no shame, all worked hard and tackled well.

We don't look like scoring when in possession at all. Scored three tries in last three matches - one off a lucky break, one a double movement and one a bit of genius from Lawton.

Thought Silva looked handy for Championship level, probably deserved Tilleke's minutes in the game.
