With the latest injury update and losing millar for a long time surely it's time to add to the squad

we got rid of Johnson ,evans realeased ,2 long term injuries probably season long now millar

we have tilleke and Holroyd who kear obviously doesn't fancy plus brown and Brookes so how big actually is the squad ? It needs investment otherwise as in other seasons it will disintegrate to mediocrity very quickly

We could really use a centre, a prop (to replace the players who have left) and a utility player who is capable of doing a job in the halves/hooker.

It never rains. It's about bringing in quality as well as quantity but finding them is another matter.

Again this is where we fault, I don’t get why we don’t use the dual reg to are advantage and link up with someone like Warrington/saints/Wigan  instead I think it’s Rochdale who obviously we wont get anyone from and they probs won’t benefit from us. We deffo need some season long loans or to splash abit of cash. Danny addy played well for the one game last year could be worth a shot on him again.

@johnno I agree about addy covers many positions and has a bit of class also Ian Thornley fit again at wigan they might want him match fit so could get him for a month or so and maybe sidlow from salford no point getting kids if they won't be an improvement

@vikingfox71 exactly we’ve made that mistake before addy and Thornley could be excellent for us hopefully we look at these options 😂

It said Millar for 8 weeks (early May), so I think we can manage with Holroyd, Ince and Brookes, with Dixon coming back for Toulouse.

Definitely need a centre, Evans and Roberts were clearly brought in to improve options there.

Also would be monitoring the HB position.

@cj91 holroyd couldn’t finish his dinner last year, let many try’s in and couldn’t score. Not sure on Ince don’t think he’s good enough. And with Brooke’s am not sure not seen much of him seems okay hopefully no more injuries from him and he can pick up a run of games. Could ideally loan someone in on that wing… what’s Ah van upto nowadays 🤣

Millar is only 8 weeks, he wouldn't of played in the cup anyway so hopefully will only miss 7. Wing is the position we have most cover. Ince and Dixon should be good enough.

The club are actively looking for players but it's a bit early in the season for players to become available.  I think we need a centre, half back and a prop. We have released Evans and Johnson, so the centre and prop would be like for like signings using the contract money saved. Then the half back would be a rolling monthly loan or season long to cover for Gilmore.

Good to have JJ back, but it is a bit of a worry that it's a flare up of an old shoulder injury.  Hopefully it's not a reoccurring one. Farnworth back for the Swinton game on good Friday, shame he's missing Tolouse as that will be a tough game.

I think Farnworth needs to be eased into the team after a while out. So a tough one would not be good for him even though I think our best prop. Definitely need a few loan players and Ince and Brookes be okay until Millar back. 🥖🥖

Would Dan Hill be interested in coming back for a season long loan he can play wing/centre/fullback and wouldn’t break the bank as a reserve, wouldn’t massively improve the squad but be a handy player m. OFFER: season long loan

Or Ben Davies, a widnes lad and can play centre/half. Also wouldnt break the bank but I feel would be an improvement over Lyons. OFFER: season long loan with immediate recall option

Looks like Jake Mamo is about to become available.  Would he be worth a shout? Wing, centre and full back experience.

Jake Mao would be a good shout, he has undoubted star quality, but he is in the same school as Greg Eden used to be, capable of winning a match, but just as capable of losing it with decisions or mistakes that defy logic. That being said, he should be a great signing at this level.

Mentioning Greg Eden, I have not seen him this season, is he injured or not getting picked,or have I just missed him as he would be a good signing on loan.

Mamo would be great at this level.Apparently he won't be allowed to sign for another SL club but rumour on the Cas forum is that he is quitting the game altogether and returning home.
