I see your point & it is true our line defence was not tested today & will be against Championship opposition.
However Connell has obvious talent & if one player in an average side has good feet & a side step with speed it can mean the difference between losing or winning in a few close games. He had 5 or 6 assists today & scored 2 himself. Abdul although carrying timber is an asset with his long kicking game alone by keeping the opposition an extra 15 to 20 yards away from our line.
Next week's game will be a better indication of where we are up to.
NW Crusaders won 110-0 and looking at their team, a few ex Widnes players there.
That being said, it would be very disappointing if we did not win next week.
I was more pleased with the nil than anything else.
Looks like your journey in the Cup was far less stressful than ours!
