Yeah I did mention about a loan halfback, but it seems Keary was happy with Owens at halfback. Hopefully keep Eckersley for the season if possible, or until Max Roberts is match fit. A big forward from Superleague be nice if strengthens our power upfront.

I think it's fair enough to celebrate the win, after our 2 previous performances. 48 points away from home represents quite a turnaround. We are still some way short of our best and I'm not aware of anyone suggesting we are nailed on for top 4 after that. JK seemed happy with it, bar our conceding of the soft try after the injury. The implication from the JK interview was that Eckersley had a quietish game, apart from scoring his hattrick! (maybe I missed the irony!). He must clearly think championship rugby is easy!
As others have said it would be nice to hang on to him beyond his initial month's loan period, I expect after today he'd be keen to stick around and have the chance to score a few more tries!
Hopefully everyone played their part this week. Not sure how much game time Johnson got and Farnworth is still to come back fully firing. So we move on to Barrow, who schooled us a bit last season so we want to put that right!
