@spelly I think it wound the Widnes fans up more. They gave the MOM to him against Barrow too. He is covering for Dixon ok but never MOM in either game.
I thought Langtree had a sound game when he came on - improving all the time.
As for Butt being MOM, I thought Lloyd, Ince, Fozard, Kirk and Gilmore played better than he did.
The "real" MOM - Daniel Abram by far. I'm surprised no other club hasn't been after him.
Solid performance but bad starts to both halves.ince was deffo better than butt along with Gilmore and fozzard.

Decent performance yesterday, along with most others I thought Ince and Foz were very good yesterday. Swinton looked OK, we will see how good we are over the next six weeks, but you can't knock the start to the league campaign.
Wonder when roby will get a chance again? Think Owen’s was okay yesterday and the week before but nothing special. I also believe roby would’ve scored that try where Owen’s got caught on the line! Looked like he was running in slow motion haha.
Thought Swinton looked dangerous on their left/our right - exposing Flem and Lyons in defence. I preferred Lloyd at centre last week as I don’t see what Flaming offers in attack or defence (and let’s gloss over the knock on then professional foul/sin bin!).
I agree re: what does Gregson offer? Each of the previous weeks he’s gone off with bangs but we’ve looked better without him.
Jack would’ve scored that a few seasons ago but how could you mess up that follow on play flinging it out on our right? Jesus wept Foz!

Have been pleasantly surprised with Butt, deserves to keep his place even if Dixon is fit again, not sure if Butt can play in centres maybe replace Fleming.

I thought BUTT deserved MOM. He was excellent with running the ball back out of the corners, made a number of line breaks and was more than safe under the high ball. Maybe he looked a little shaky on defence because our right edgedefence looked vulnerable - especially early on, but I don't think FLEMING helped that.....this side look very much the weak link for me, but it got better as the game went on. BUTT's only blot on his copybook in the match was after his own superb break and Jack geting hauled down - don't undertsand why BUTTY didn't just dive over from AHB. He lost his composure and threw an awful pass out to FOZARD who, unsurprisingly, knocked on with the line open! Thankfully the ref penalised them for offside anyway. #COYV@thegrimareaper I totally agree about Gregson. He has offered absolutely nothing so far. Also I cannot understand how Butt won man of the match. He was ok but Ince was the pick of the wingers by a mile & Fozard was the best player on the field.
At least we look as if we have a plan and a co-ordinated team. Fans can take defeat by a better team but not a disorganised rabble without ideas.
Get a win at Dewsbury and we might see more return for our next home game against the Fax!!!
I concur with comments about Fleming and Gregson need replacing. Roby in for Flemming? If win against Dewsbury the gate will go up against Halifax for sure. 👌😎🥖🥖🇫🇷
@pascal Roby just been shipped out on loan to Rochdale for a month, must be something going on behind the scenes as he was last months played of the month.
But sitting around the non playing team members what was being said made me understand what it is like in the current set up !!!!
