Soooooo now that the flat earthers.. conspiracy theorists..general club bashers now know it isn't littler...never was littler ...no Hamilton buddy appointment.....how about we redirect that passion in spreading poison into actually backing the new coach n give the guy the chance .....been loads asking for a coach that'll play expansive attacking rugby ...he'll certainly bring that yeah he's an up n coming coach but same people bashing that are the same saying belshaw should have got it ... certainly can't judge him on Swinton league position...they carry the smallest budget in the championship..well less than half our reputed budget...had a dire injury crisis early on n heavily relied on loans n still rolled us batley n Toulouse.... hopefully now we're in a position to start retention n recruitment to which I think will give first indicators for the future ... hopefully he gets that bang on n that might start swaying minds ...n let's not forget we've had name coaches ..kear..sheens ..purtill blablabla ...didn't turn out well ..maybe a new direction is what's needed ...I'm for one backing him ....for now 🤣🤣🤣

I think this is quite refreshing actually! Just hope he’s allowed to stay longer than the last bunch!

I totally agree he gets 100% out of that swinton side I have a good feeling about the appointment he will have a drive to succeed with it being another step up in his career I think it’s a lot better option than picking someone who has been sacked multiple times from a higher level and the names who people would have ideally wanted including myself more than likely showed zero interest in the job or indeed in any championship job being a super league assistant or on the coaching staff is a far more safer number these days

I think most people will obvs get behind him. I'm sure you'll have noticed this forum's loose cannon's have been absent because we've managed to win a few games on the bounce. I'm sure they'll be back if we lose but, onwards and upwards!

He could be a good appointment. Has plenty of experience and I maintain that Swinton have done at least as well as could reasonably be expected this season. Like any coach he should be judged on results and performances, I am sure he will get the backing of the majority of our fanbase as he tries to take us forward.

Not for me, but as a Widnes fan I really really hope to be proved wrong. Let's hope we can revisit this thread in 12 months and I am wrong. I was against Kear getting the job last time but will back any coach from the start. Since we have been in the Championship we haven't made the play offs once so maybe an appointment like this was needed thinking outside the box.

As an aside have we ever had an appointment like this before, with a coach coming from the NCL league and community game?

Dear me, 'club bashers' and 'poison spreaders', is there any room in your world, Cumbria Viking, for anyone with a different opinion than yours?

We're not all the same and have different views and opinions of things, there's nothing wrong with debate and different opinions. The term poison spreading for people who voiced concerns about the  possible appointment of Littler is shocking.

I'm all for expansive rugby, if you have the squad for it. Being entertained is great but once you lose a few games and your near the wrong end of the table everyone is on the coach's back.

Hopefully Coleman will get a chance to build his own team over couple of seasons as it sounds like he is a proper coach. COYV

@wrlfcefc1989

Listening to the commentary  on an NRL game recently a comment was made regarding 'Bilious' Bellamy, the Melbourne Storm coach.

The commentators, including Billy Slater (ex Storm) reckon that Bellamy recognises a player's best qualities and builds his game plan around that!

An interesting concept as an alternative to trying to fit square pegs into round holes!!!
