@sunny I disagree that it’s been nearly answered. It causes concern as I’ve stated a few times.

an investor that only wants to be involved if we’re at the top table shouldn’t be one we’re keen to get on board

I also disagree that the query from Dan1 and yourself has been nearly answered.

My submission was that it has been neatly answered.

Quite a difference between the two.

And as a backcloth to all this if's, but's and maybe's 5 is the game, as a whole, financially sound? Expenses will continue to rise with a static Sky deal and clubs looking to plug holes in the money-bag.

The fuss about Women's RU gives you the clue as to where the entertainment captains are at. Our game will grab the crumbs after Sky has managed to capture enough sport to keep up with 'sport' as a whole.

Any 'backer' of a RL club has to be prepared to flash the cash for a number of years without return other than a Season Ticket.

Rather than a monumental struggle to finance our club I would prefer to build our team and club and become a top stable fixture in the Championship. The expansion is a minefield as many will find out.

@sandgroper We will lanquish in the championship and crowds will drop as it is a meaningless league. If we have backers who obviously know there is no profit to be earned then why are you against SL ? The club will always exist no matter what league we are in but to not want the holy grail is pointless as a fan, Would you prefer yet another four or five year plan ?.

Go for it or die a death is my opinion it's a no brainer.

Just been reading elsewhere that Hetherington and Co are one of a dozen clubs who've applied for SL status next term, so who's the others?

The report goes on to say that even though they were given a provisional A rating last year, Cas have applied anyway.

FC, Hudds and Pinks were all rated B, so I reckon that's another trio who'll be putting their hands up for inclusion.

That's a quintet so far, so who else?

Toulouse, the Odsalites, 'Fax, York, the 'Yeds, and you mob, are pretty much nailed on, I would've thought, which leaves one more.

Fev? The recent news that part of POR has been closed off won't do 'em any favours.

Donny? Having a more than decent stadium will help, and their performances on the park this term, pretty much mirror yours.

The Raiders? Along with Donny, and you, they're between the two dotted lines on the ladder, and whilst CP isn't the best stadium in RL, it's neat and tidy.

Over to you Chemics now please, for (dis)agreement, or any further possibilities.

Spelly.

I expect Featherstone to be the 12th Club in addition to those you mention.

Formal applications to be submitted by 12 September. All to be revealed on 16 October, including the IMG Gradings I guess.

What is the timetable for the submission of data for IMG gradings 2025? I presume that data will be taken into account by the Panel considering the applications, in addition to the financial sustainability criteria.

@spelly London?

i doubt fax will after their recent financial issues last season. Think they’ll want a few years of stability first

1) @spelly London?

2) i doubt fax will after their recent financial issues last season. Think they’ll want a few years of stability first

1) My mate down the Smoke is confident that they'll get the nod, and as I mentioned in my opening sentence, they've made the necessary initial required move.

2) Good call, but the Bulls' financial history is not blemish free either, yet they're a lot of people's faves to be welcoming Pies, HKR, Rhinos etc to their sub-standard home come 2026.

If Toulouse, Catalans and London are in next year's SL, I won't be watching a single game of it.

Les Cats were (I think) fourth in the provisional ratings, so I reckon they're nailed-on to retain their SL status, and of course, it's already been announced that they'll host Pies in Gay Paree in an "on the road" round next term.

The other two however, are far from certs, but we'll have to wait until after the GF before we know who's in, and who's out.

Yes we need to apply otherwise our ambitions are pointless - doubt we will get in though, I reckon our grading could be as good as 14th

it still not good enough and then we go through the mystery grading ….

which produces a team that have gone through the hoop financially many times, subbed by the rfl and play on a pitch that isn’t up to standards

am I biased ?

York are nailed on for SL next year. You don’t have to look past the signing of Vaughn and Dufty from the Wire to work that out. There’s no way those two should be playing in the Championship.

I’m hearing London are going to be in as well. Gary Hetherington is involved in some capacity down there so you can read into that what you will.

Then when it all goes pear shaped at Salford the Bradford Bulls are being lined up by big Nige to take their place.

Its pointless applying really as these deals have probably been done months ago
