Only saw one game on Widnes TV of the reserves and thought Case looked half decent. But hard to say watching one game.

What are we thinking for this game then?

Some good DR options, but Smith will be a big miss and we are playing in Yorkshire.....

That being said, man for man we surely have a better side.

Dewsbury 12-20 Widnes, in a dour game.

well you could be right, the bookies are giving Dewsbury 8 points start. I think we will win by about 10-12

Owens, Johnson, Spedding, Roby, Mamo, Craven, Lyons, T.Chapelhow, Tomkins, Moran, Wilde, Robson, Baker. Subs: Patton, J.Chapelhow, O’Neil, Leuluai. Leaving out Edge, Case, Dwyer and Wood. Not the biggest fan of Dual Reg, but the players we’re using this week proves the benefit of it. Getting three SL standard players. I’d use Patton in the ‘Lyons’ role off the bench.

Edge has got to play left centre after last week. Spedding on the right if fit.

I think Patten got a lot of hard comments for a lad who had only had 1 hour practice before coming into a tough game against London in which nobody played well. Given that they’ve all had a couple of decent training sessions now he should be more in-step with the others.

I agree Edge deserves a place this week after a great performance. As with Lyons, it will be a fine balance of him getting gametime and avoiding injury as he develops and that’ll be where Sheens experience will be invaluable.
