Wins a win but deffo need to improve on our discipline or how to play the ref like Sheffield did today they're either the fastest team defensively we’ve played or slightly offside…
2 touchies should be helping with offside but, to be honest, every game Tara has referee we’ve looked poor. I think she forgets this is championship…
Sheffield were offside & holding down all game. They played the referee all the time. Went down to catch their breath when under pressure 3 times, although it is hard to prevent or prove that.
Thought we were awful today against another team patched up both sheff props played 80 mins gill and Oakes could hardly move and we struggled yes ref was bad but a worrying win
this league is shocking entertainment value awful
You get 4 pts for a try in the 1st minute, just as you do if you score in the 80th minute.
Every game is 80mins long. Over the 80mins we outscored them, and got the 2pts for doing so. Was we playing to our potential, I'd say no, but we stuck in, and won the game. Credit to Sheffield, they had a good 'dig', and looked no mugs. Would we all have taken the win at 3.00pm, I would. Onwards and Upwards.... hopefully.

A wins a win so they say but other than our 2nd half try it was a poor quality game. Not helped by no atmosphere. How a city club like Sheffield can bring just 7 fans is bizzare, an amatuer team would bring a few more. Not sure if it was the way the game was refereed but it was slow and just didnt seem to flow or get going properly.
We should beat Salford but the Newcastle cup fixture looks like a much tougher assignment than it would have been in previous seasons with access to the York squad.

We were just a standard Championship team as were Sheffield....and indeed the standard is poor all round.It was not a case of the better team won but rather the worse team lost.
Re the defensive line ...nothing to do with the ref.....Sheffield were able to be on top of us quickly as we are slow to get up of the floor ,not because of the laying on,but we are so passive when tackled and then the first/second passes are also slow...our players collect the ball then run.
Sheffield were a bit quicker around the ruck area and it`s not helped when we stand and wait for them to hit our line....linespeed was very poor.
Most of the players are OK for this league but there are too many weak links who slow the whole thing down.
At 10 up you should be looking to push on but we went all lack lustere ...complacency ..maybe ...this is going to be like last week?
There are a lot of teams on the same number of points as us but PD is the worse and if we do not start to rack up some points against weakened opposition(we won second half 6 0 but they were really struggling with injuries tireness etc and we never took advantage) then it will cost league positions as has been pointed out teams are generally of the same standard.

Should win at Salford...and Dewsbury .........but after that ,playing like that,Newcastle on neutral ground it seems and Doncaster at home will be a real challenge.
More will be needed to get into the top 4....we look like an 5-8 team atm.
Widnes fans are hard to please. Love Rugby League described it as a superb game. MOM? Has to be Ince. Scored, made the break leading to the winning try, made lots of yards, good defence. Edge and McWhirter not far behind.
Having watched the Sheffield highlights today, it’s not normal for an opposition to make the other club looks better.
Their highlights showed that e were making good breaks, and in a similar case to the 1st dewsbury game the final pass was missing or poor. We could of easily scored another 3/4 tries just based off their 10 minute highlight package.

Reilly and griffin both played 80 mins gill was on bench but only came on for emergencies as of head bin incidents
they had lost 3 of last 4 including some bad defeats but after 20 mins they realised how average we were with a basically full team and got back in game for all those reasons yes it's a win but a worrying one
ih and if you drop abdull for tackling look at miller go over hayes do we get rid of him too lol 😂

This reminds me of my break from playing league and played some union.......remember our `fly half`before ever game gathering the wings forwards.......`I don`t tackle,thats your job`.........just made me laugh........thing is they didn`t either which left the league player at inside cenre to do the job.......
