Good to be back to winning ways. Thought the 1st half we was abit sloppy and couldn’t hold onto the ball then in the 2nd half we really got stuck into them Patton and Robert’s played well, Joe edge strong runner but can’t seem to get that pass away however he does make up for it by getting strong yards. Hopefully now is the start of a little winning streak
A very important win today at a difficult venue for us in recent years. Well done to all concerned.
I reckon that means as long as we win 2 more games we should avoid dropping to 10th.
London have tough remaining fixtures. Toulouse, Oldham & Bradford at home. York, Batley & us away.
If we get 4 more points which we should they would need 4 wins out of the remaiing 6 to just draw level on points.
How do you apply to be a fan ambassador?
You don't, for now. Last October the Club asked for Fan Ambassadors, and apart from Mike, nobody shown any interest at the time. I had some health issues, so the time wasn't right. A couple of months back, I was approached along with Mike to kick it off, which we have. Sara Jones has joined us, as not all issues are 'bloke' related, and she has a lot to do with the Women's team and the LDRL. Sara & Mike are based in the North Stand on match days, I'm in the South along with Kev Buck, who is also involved. I don't know how the 'Viking Voice' initiative will pan out long term, so can't say if any more will be needed in the near future. If opportunities arise, I'm sure the Club will put it on the website.

Is this like the Widnes illuminati or something? Does David Icke know about it?
In response to @d-day 's question, Allan Coleman said re: Brett Bailey
"Brett needs game time, and would not have been in the 19 today, so why should I stop a kid, who needs game time, to sit in the stands and watch? I need him to develop, which he can't, when not playing"
Like I said, there won't be much response about team selections, for obvious reasons (keeping the opposition guessing).
Hope this helps, and this forum is the first to hear this from the Coach.

@mckviking “For those asking me about this, I'm not there today as it's my daughter's christening.
But Sheffield's ground is not fit for purpose for broadcasting and from experience the stadium and staff have no interest in helping, which is why there's problems every single year”

@pauliewalnuts Thanks for asking the question and nice to have some clarification.

Sheffield ground not fit for spectators never mind broadcasting. The only place you can watch the game, unless you want to sit in the little stand with the home fans, is leaning against the perimeter wall at pitch level, terrible viewing.
Walk along to the other end of the stand, plenty of Widnes Fans sat there.

if you wish to shout the benefits of this new programme why not start a new thread "Fans Questions" or similar name where people can ask sensible sound bites instead of at the moment it's buried in a separate thread where some not look at it👍

Yes, Martin, this makes sense. We can start a thread, and the Admin can 'pin' it at the top.

I would think with the win at Sheff, you're pretty much nailed-on to avoid a poss clash with my mob after the curtain comes down on the "normal" season.
A position between the two dotted lines, virtually guaranteed, but...............
1) Will the play-offs even go ahead? Will our campaign go on longer than yours? And.........
If they do actually happen, and there's (as strongly rumoured) only one tier below the elite next term, I can only echo what many have already eluded to with "What's the ******* point?"
2) Is (lower) mid-table good enough for the Chemics? I would suggest that it's a big "Nooooooooo!"
Spelly.
