@pauliewalnuts your involvement in the club is strange, you have to much information.
Are you like a player/coaching staff groupie??
Fan Ambassador, there along with Mike Parsons and 2 others, to act as a conduit between the Fans and the Club. To help get information for ALL supporters of the Club. We won't be asking Stu Murphy if there are geometry sets in the shop, so don't ask us that. We can take your ideas to the Management, get there response and feed it back. We are all approachable on SM, face to face on Matchdays (home or away) and sometime this coming week, via E-mail. The Viking Voice was our initiative, as there hasn't been a Member's Monday for yonks. We requested the name change as we wanted the meetings to be inclusive to all Fans, not just Members (ST holders, VIPS subscribers, Sponsors), because as we see it, there are no 'Super Fans' at WV, we are equal in the cause. You can even DM Mike and myself on here, feel free. There are lots of difficulties for Clubs like us at the moment, as you are all more than aware. The Club needs us all on board as they go through this transitioning period. So, no, I'm not a player or coach, although I do talk to them all, Groupie? I'll let you decide.
See you at Sheffield, tomorrow
Up the Chemical Vikings!

Mike is very approachable and always listens to ideas. We are all fans who just want the best team possible and any infinitives a bonus. Think we all would love a rich owner to take us to the next level.
But then you have a problem in that the one who has the money rules the club. Supporters have no real 'say' and the man with the money can just walk away leaving you with no club!!!!!!
The club belonging to the town, its residents and its supporters means that we really do have a massive influence on the club and its future. But that influence needs the town and supporters to be prepared to be consistent and back the effort that the committee (who are supporters!) is making.
How do you apply to be a fan ambassador?
Correct @sandgroper
This is one of the reasons the Club head Coach is pushing the youth development project. With initial help from the Community clubs (Danny Durbin and others), Roger Harrison, etc (even Rolty is back!) there is a plan in place to provide a pathway, which will hopefully be the start of getting our local lads into the first team. The local talent IS out there.
I think the Club, especially AC, realise that we have Gilly, Owens, Lyons, Foz, Incy and Edgy from Widnes, but when they're gone in a few years, will it be Widnes RLFC without Widnesians playing for them? Not for me, it will be a franchise team playing out of Widnes called the Vikings. And that will be the day the club starts to die.

Can you ask the club why we are picking players in the 21 that clearly not fit to play whilst letting Widnes lads play for another teams reserves. Doest like a good advertisement for the so called pathway.

Sure the question can be asked. I wouldn't expect anything to share re; team selection. Who are the Widnes Lads playing for other teams reserves, I presume you mean Bailey? As for naming a 21, I suppose it just leaves the opposition guessing.
But I'll ask AC next time I see him.

Good on you Paulie! I for one get a little sick of the negativity at times (although we all get a little down with our Widnes team from time to time!!!) but heard about the Ambassadors on the podcast from Mike this week. Great initiative.
Has there any thought been give to some sort of sponsorship for young players? Iirc it used to be for academy lads to help with transport etc. My better half sponsored Incey for a couple of years, can't remember who I chose!
Maybe we're not ready for that yet but maybe for the new academy?
On paper their 17 is stronger, however they are also extremely low confidence.
not confident for a win today
Good to see Luke Thomas back
The radio stations are currently broadcasting the wrong show
Shitty BBC Merseyside Sport link online is the radio news coverage not the match - WTF BBC. It’s not hard is it???
Im listening to simply red rather than the match 🤦♂️
Pathetic isn’t it?
