My view is that Grady is a decent signing for 2023. I think he did have a couple of serious injuries during the year, which kept him out, but if he is fit a useful player in the squad.
I am surprised that we have not retained Baker, who has been one of our better players, but maybe he had got a better deal elsewhere.
Grady is a terrible retention. Baker would have been only marginally better. Neither should be in our squad if we are serious about becoming a 'stronger' B classification team and contesting participation in SL.
@northstar I agree partly with your opinion, Grady is a good squad player for where we are at and baker also. I don’t believe we are going to be able to get a squad together for next season to win promotion so we need to aim at top 4-6 for next season and improve for the next round of licensing
Bear in mind also if injury is a no-no, that cancels out Lomax, Makisson(sic), Percival, Walmsley etc from our near neighbours! Grady just had a bad year, at his age not surprising.

Was that the year we finished bottom ? Hardly a glowing reference.
You miss the point, we had lost in five previous meetings against Leigh, with our first choice players.
At that time Craven, JJ and Gilmour were squad, at best, if you like. But they worked together against Higham, Hock, Reynolds and won at a canter, away too! Again, Gilmour not counted as a goalkicker but was 100% plus a drop goal.
Easy to discount players but we need to utilise the players that we have better. Hopefully that's where JK comes in!
