So here goes, did we sign him whilst he was unfit, or has he been injured in preseasin training?

I’ve heard he did it in the game against us last season. Don’t know how true that is?

We said in the article we will have an announcement on a player to replace him while he’s injured, very shortly.

Reilly played another game for Batley after the Widnes game,not sure how many minutes he did.If the injury occurred around that time then I'm not sure why so long until surgery.Surely a recent thing.

Sound like somebody hasn't been honest about his condition, our coach is a bit too trusting, or it is  seen as risk worth taking!

We shall see!!!!!

There's 2 had ops this week. Not sure which way round it is but I was told last night one was signed with the injury and the other did it in one of those recent behind-doors training games.

Langtree was signed knowing he had surgery planned.

That's sounds right.Reilly may well have got injured v Widnes but there's no way he would have played two weeks later if it was ACL.

I doubt there would be funds for private surgery so both players may have had to wait for NHS appointments......They may also have had to fit it around their full time work commitments.

@sinbad

If it was a Grade 2 ACL that would be a tear in the ligament rather than a break in the ligament and may have been initially treated as a minor injury, hence another game. If it is still a Grade 2 it can be 6 to 8 weeks recovery, plus physio for full fitness.

With a physically very fit patient the after-op recovery will be relatively faster than with a 'normal' man in the street.

A lot of 'ifs and buts' but we wait and see!
