Absolutely agree with that - can well remember people moaning about us signing Kenny Baker because he was playing in league one. He’s been consistently one of our best players since.

Baker was signed with very little fan fare coming from league 1, no one really knew who Deon Cross was until signed etc it’s about the individual player not the team they had played for.

One or two is fine but I have reservations of four signings from the same, relegated  club.

I’d say Dupree qualifies, Ceejay. Still ideally need another three props to add to him, Nzoungou and Farnworth though.

Tilleke hopefully will be signed for one. Still need 2 more though with bulk & experience. 1 must be an old head but not injury prone.

Real shame Hatton hasn't been offered a contract, he's been a good player and I'd suggest majority would prefer to keep Hatton over Ince returning, especially how he left the club last time.

No doubt he'll get a decent move somewhere.

I would like Hatton to be offered a contract but he has been totally overrated since the day he replaced Ince at Wembley. How many tries has be scored? There is probably 10-15 wingers in the league out scoring him.

Not forgetting that Ince scored 19 in 22 in 2019.

It is still only September & only 16 players officially signed up so I would guess 10 to 12 other players to be signed up yet. Some probably signed but not released publicly. I would certainly think some of the existing squad are still to be retained & Hatton could well be one of them unless Wire or Saints have snaffled him for their A team.

There's a massive difference bringing in one (Baker), but bringing in 4 is a big risk. Let's not forget, we put 60+ on these, 3 weeks ago. I'm not convinced, I see it as recruiting mediocrity. If Hatton is forced out, then we really are settling for the bottom 6 again.

Just my opinion

Still no experienced props yet!

Lawton was nothing like as good elsewhere as he has been here. Still more to come I hope but others may up their performance too. Likewise SL players on the way down can disappoint!!!!

On the face of it at least we have more experienced Championship backup!

Must admit Hatton looked OK to me.

I don’t Hatton is dependent on our league finish tbh.

Our recruitment so far is not overwhelming.

We need experienced props.

Hopefully they are to be announced in the near future.

Who are they, though and would they be willing to come here ? I can think of Trout who once played for Wakefield and is from Wigan. Not sure where he is now.

I am starting to wonder following the signing of Bent if Baker will be asked to make the move to prop a permanent one with LF covered by Bent and Smith

certainly hasn’t let anyone down there just left us short in the back row

that would still leave us one “old head” short IMO in the front row but may free up cash to go for a big name at Championship level

Bit risky to sign 4 from a poor side.

If Hatton is being let go as opposed to getting a good offer elsewhere and taking that up, then that is not on.

Dupree we know about as a good player. Gregory I have seen some of and he was decent.

Ince is a finisher but no better than Hatton. Bent I can't remember.

Could Lyons be on the way out?

I wonder who is going to put their hand up half way through the season and say "I made the recruitments"

No hiding place now for the two F's.

Firstly Hatton has been one of our best players this season.

Secondly he does not own a dummy.
