Protest by non attendance

I reside in the states so I don’t go to the games, I pay for every our league game or listen on the radio but I honestly believe we need something drastic to happen like a mass walk out or non attendance of fans for anything to be done by the board. It’s all very well just going through the motions but we aren’t competing at all in this league and the club really hasn’t kept the fans in the picture. The current squad are not performing and we don’t have a coach it’s just amateur from top to bottom

My guess is that we won’t have enough spectators at the York game to have a “mass” walk-out. The Club should refund season ticket holders.

To think many of us - including me - thought we would be competitive in the Championship. Perhaps we will be in League 1.

@frankg I really hope we don’t get into a relegation battle

@mckeeverviking Probably not. Workington look favourites for relegation, but they have an excuse in being promoted from League 1 this year. We have no excuses, other than players who are either not good enough or don’t care, or a bit of both.

Not really sure what a walkout would achieve. We will probably have a coach in place by next week or at least by the London fixture. I’m sure the board are aware how bad things are at the moment. Just hope they might the right decision regarding the new coach because the club is dying a slow painful death at the moment.

@mt Hope it’s not terminal. Something needs to change and quick. Why would anyone want to pay to go to the York game, when we can only see another collapse and a hammering. Even hardened fans have a tipping point and it may well have been reached.

@frankg I agree the players aren’t playing for the jersey and should be released if not performing their job but we’d have to wait for end of season for a mass clear out

@mt it would force them to make changes needed whereas at the moment they aren’t doing enough for the club, I don’t want us to be a mid to lower championship level club

My comments aren’t a personal attack on anyone rather than a reality check that’s overdue

Not sure anyone needs a reality check, it’s obvious to everyone involved with the club including fans that the current situation is shambolic and unacceptable.

I can understand why the coach had to go but the man who appointed him and signed the players sits there with apparently the full support of the directors. He was James Rule's nodding dog backing up all the lies and should if he has any conscience resign. Lets see if any other club rates his business skills.

Given recent results, would we know the difference between a boycott and people who are just fed up?

The directors I agree will be aware of how bad it is. I would like to see the chairman meet the press/media with the new coach and explain what his vision is.

@toeknee-myler Simon has gone and the players are still serving up slops.Big changes would appear to be needed, but not sure how.

It’s simple, if the staff aren’t doing their job replace them with staff who are competent from top to bottom

The theory might be simple, replacing staff on a large scale would be quite difficult in reality.
