Looks like Peteru is without a club. Not seen him play but has size!

Aged 29 6ft 5 inches nd weighs in at 17.5 stone.  Named as a prop & second row.Leigh jettisoned him last season & he ended up at Huddersfield. I know nothing of him other than Leeds brought him across for 3 years in 2017 but thy released him after 2 years & 36 games presumably for more game time at Hull KR . Last season he played 12 games each for Leigh then Huddersfield.

Would he want to drop down to the championship aged 29? I would think Toulouse may be his first pick if they want him. Does he want to play prop as we do not need another second row? Undoubtedly looks more of a prop than our reserve props Baker & Grady. His size would be useful if he uses it. Boils down to whether he would want to drop to part time & if we could meet his money expectations.

Doubt we can afford him and doubt he would want championship rugby, if he does I would expect him to be Leigh bound

He was at Leigh last season, they loaned him out to Huddersfield and seemingly haven’t offered him a new contract. I doubt he’ll end up here though, mind.

Love him at Widnes. Need 1 big nasty prop and I be really happy with our squad.

The shortage of props generally and Leigh's inclination to sign anyone on offer might suggest that all that he offers is size.

He plainly needs a platform to show what he can do and we haven't done badly with our South Sea signings in the past with Koloto, Flymo, Sorenson, Winterstein etc etc.

If a deal could be done it would boost our pack with size and experience.

If he can't get a SL gig with Toulouse I bet he ends up at Newcastle.

Might be wrong but the impression I got was the relationship between ourselves and Wire wasn't great after various points last year (Doro/Robson?). To be honest I wouldn't be sorry to see the end of us being Wire's Partner, hated the idea anyway.

On a practical level, unless we have a small pool of previously agreed DR players, then I don't see the point as you are going to end up with a disjointed lineup if players are popping in for a game here and there.

Spot on CJ!

IMHO, only the SL club get any real benefit from dual reg players by keeping them fit in a competitive environment.

Pascal knows a good season ahead with plenty of passion. The props have been motivated by Pascal, and if any of you near the Gold seats give me a wave. I will be the fired up one shouting les Widnes les ecrasent. I will be wearing a beret saluting winners. 👍
