From social media posts from the club it looks like the club is being more proactive connecting with local businesses and starting back up a pathway for kids in the town to again have the opportunity to represent the club and mentions of an academy which is great 👍 

obviously we need players in and fast as injuries are inevitable and are mounting.  The DR with wire has been a failure as we have seen not just this season so who do we DR with next season or season long loans with no recalls could be an option maybe? AC’s connection with Leigh is a possibility but Wigan would be possibly a better option imo

what do you guys think about this link up with the bowler for pre match entertainment? It can only be good for both parties surely weather dependent I guess

Have you heard of any names for potential new players apart from the old widnes players like Lawton, Farnworth etc 

Oh and how do you think the club can better market themselves, we also need to vastly improve the merchandise available for fans to purchase 

For me it’s about tactics:

why do we allow teams to make at least ten metres with every play instead of moving up as ALL other teams do. It allows them to be kicking from our half every six. yet we make half them metres because they move up.
Why do we allow Gilmore and Lyons to take free kicks and make ten metres!!!. Wherever he was on the field Davies, Craven etc came and took the kick and made forty, even on Sunday last Hall took one and made thirty metres before going off. The metres are important. 
Why do we keep buying players from relegated teams, there is a reason teams were relegated and one of them is the players. If we have attendances over a thousand, per game more than other  (£1000x20 =£20,000 or 1 player) clubs, WVIPS etc WHY can’t we “invite” better players.

Great observation Martin, totally agree with your thoughts - Essential reading for Alan Coleman I think!

I live out of Town and travel over 200 miles to come a few games a season due to my work. My question is why not have better marketing as I traveled up on a Saturday and in the Town centre I would not know a game was happening on the Sunday. Posters put up in Tesco, Asda, Gyms and any other shops possibly of upcoming fixtures? The other thing which I know has been brought up before but why can't the Council put up a sign on the borders of the Town 'Welcome to Widnes the Home of  Widnes RLFC the first World Club Champions' On approaching Warrington and St Helens you see these sign posts that they have a rugby team.

On a positive I do see Andy Horabin doing a cracking job seeing local businesses lately and Alan Coleman doing the development with the youngsters.I think this is an opportunity to do some Child Pass it on season tickets for free with a paying Adult part season pass for the final home games for £20 a game rather than £24. I also think we need to promote WVIPS more to join even for £5 a month is better than nothing, so to contribute to improving our squad depth. We need a bigger squad, as now proves how weak we are for player rotation. There is probably quite a few players with knocks in the team, who are not fully committed due to playing injured. Please address the squad depth because even the best coach in the world would struggle, and Alan is doing his best on a shoe string.

The club are engaging but could engage a little further and they need to listen to your Podcasts for ideas. I also feel James Gordon could help the club with his services and listening to the Podcast I was surprised the club did not take his offer on.

I would like to ask what are your thoughts on this season’s recruitment as yet again we have players leaving part way through the season. I personally think recruitment has been poor, is this down to AC, could we have assembled a better squad within the finances.
Also why are other clubs in our division able to assemble better quality squads than ours but with a smaller fan base than ours

How long has Coleman got left in your opinion? Before the inevitable happens?

I am not suggesting sacking him but questions need to be raised over the recruitment and tactics and the obvious halftime collapse after every game. 

I understand we have limited funds but there’s teams around us with less or similar budgets who spend a lot better and more wisely than us.

also like a few have mentioned the clubs marketing is so poor we’ve heard more about the business clubs the last 2 weeks than we have about the game Saturday or last Sundays. Now don’t get me wrong it’s a great idea from the club to help get funds in but surely we’ve gotta be promoting the team and the homes games we have coming up more than ever considering how low attendances are. It’s free to post on social media or do interviews and skits with players 

Clarity  as promised what happened to it ? And the obvious one is why we lose big leads and can't score any points in the second half,but most important where the hell are the props.

What happened to the fans forums and greater transparency and communication. 

Why does the sponsors interview board that is used for Allan's interview after every home game have last years sponsors on. Why on the womens page does it have last years womens kit sponsors on. Why are all the squad pics of the womens team still in the mens kit as they have different sponsors. 

What's the true nature of the working relationship with the stadium management (council)

Are we happy with the offering Ellgren provide or will we be looking to change kit partner next season.

Does the 6 year plan still exist, if so how are we tracking and what progress have we made so far on the IMG improvements identified. Do we have a strategy in place and is it acted upon.

Betts hence tonking both Leeds and Hull at home for 2 years on the run then doing the impossible beating Wigan away twice in one season which was imo our biggest achievement in a long long time, then the infamous Joe Mellor drop goal at Headingly that took an eternity to go between the sticks. In the Latter part of Betts tenure the line speed dropped off as nobody was arsed anymore. Since then we have not had a coach capable of doing the basics correctly present coach included.

@prisoner only 2 if those are attributes to defensive performance and that was the 2 wigan away games. Leeds and hill at home were attacking dominated games were we built great leads up. And even in those 2 wigan games, they blew plenty of good opportunities.

we also had plenty of spankings under Betts and it became almost a joke throughout his 7 superleague seasons about scoreless halves… something which the current coach is now being lambasted for after about 3 in 1.5 years.

Some good points for me but the marketing and promotion of games could be better. Not everyone does social media and there is a lot of new people moved into the Town especially in the New housing developments. Free tickets for kids in schools with a parent paying for £20  bought early. Town centre posters in shops  on upcoming fixtures.

I know go junior schools how about high schools too if not a good footballers they have a chance at rugby. Posters in pubs, gyms, and supermarkets on fixtures. How is WVIPS members going? Definitely need more joining and more transparency to fans especially on squad side and our poor dual registration use with Warrington. Need to bin Warrington off if not helping us and why let players leave with no replacements? Lannon, Kirk and Reilly all big forwards and get Mcwhirter and Maizen which supposedly WVIPS money was used for to get Maizen. 

How is Bailey getting on at Hunslet and is he good enough to play?
