I'm not sure I understand why we, as the lower ranked qualifier, get Newcastle and not London. If I was Doncaster, I'd be thinking this doesn't make sense.
Anyone thinking of staying overnight in Newcastle, be warned, the Great north run is on Sunday, and all the hotel prices have shot up. The cheapest I could find was £350 for 1 night, nearly all of them were over £400.😳
@geoffw Well the coach would say that, wouldn't he, to give them an excuse for getting beat. If Oldham had won they might have been facing London away in the next round but they would they would need to face London later anyway. And in any case if we had lost could Coleman not have said we had it at the back of our minds that losing would mean a home game against Sheffield?
We beat Oldham so are bumped up to 3rd seeds. If we beat Newcastle we will go to 2nd seed IIRC. James will confirm. Isn't this typical of the RFL. Here we are into the second week of the play-offs and still confusion about the structure. Assuming (hoping) we can beat Newcastle in the next round (Qualifying Final), who are we likely to meet in the semi-final (Preliminary Final) to reach the Grand Final?

So am I, I could be massively wrong. I worked it out on the Duckworth-Lewis method. The RFL didn't have the good sense to have 8 teams, 1st plays 8th, 2nd v 7th etc. Losers out, no 2nd chance bullshit. Final before the SL GF at OT. #SimplesThanks Paulie.
