@spelly From the rumours we do not play each other. Expecting London & Crusaders as the " local games"which is mad if true.

@geoffw think James said in the podcast we do have London as a regional game, on the back of someone else getting them and then kicking up a fuss ...and we've got lumbered with them lol

Ta mate, but..............

As I said to Geoff, I'm disappointed that there's no face-off between the Chemics and the Lions.

Lions v 'Ornits, will be interesting. Know a shed-load of people at Spotland!

Yeah, it's 'Ornits at home in the opener.

Pinks (if they survive) at ours on Easter Sunday.

We've also got (the other non-certs) Fev, and.......

We're at Lockyer-land for the last game of the season, but...........

Nowt (yet) against the Naugthon Parkers, so...........

See you in the play-offs?

Bring it on!!

Spelly.

The fixtures are out on the main website, and the first game is away at London.

We have one home game in the first five weeks, and three away. Two in the second five weeks and three away, its a bit better in the third set of five as we have three home games. So that is six home games by the first week in June. Two of these are Halifax and Featherstone, who have financial uncertainty to be polite and the others are NW Crusaders, Hunslet and Sheffield who aren't exactly going to bring many fans. I hope the club have got the cashflow under control.

@halfback-ragnarsson

Dont think we’re going to have any spare cash to buy our much needed prop forward.

As has already been said, what happened to home, away, home, away??

Regular home fixtures help clubs to improve attendances. Like many others, I have a season ticket so will support whenever the games are held.

To me, the RFL demonstrate time after time that they are clueless.

My sentiments exactly.

I think this season will be about who can remain solvent, and unfortunately can be more about off field activities more than ever. Obviously, the weeks in the fixture list don't include cup games but I can't see that making much of a difference. There are no real teams there that bring a large following, arguably other than us, so this year was always going to be hard financially, but the fixture list does make it worse still.

Oldham and Widnes could be the big losers in this. On top of the way the fixtures have been sequenced, we lose games against Bradford, York and Toulouse (no big away fan support admittedly) and gain Salford, Hunslet and Dewsbury. With NW Crusaders and Workington replacing Batley and Hunslet. The latter coming back into the mix despite "relegation" to make up the numbers. If Salford can put a team out, their fans might turn up, but who knows?

Overall, the move to 14 in Super League will put more teams at financial risk than the existing list of Featherstone, Salford and Halifax and potentially finish those clubs off. It also means two clubs with SL wage bills with half funding in Toulouse and York, and more money sunk into Bradford. I am not sure how much more the RFL could have messed this up, but there is time yet.

Anyway, onwards and upwards.

As well as missing out on you, we also don't play Oldham.

I would imagine those two games would've brought more away fans than any of whom we have coming to Heywood Road, meaning a financial hit for us.

Just have to hope we cop for a Super League team in the Cup to keep the bank manager smiling!

Spelly.

If we beat Thato Heath could we get a SL club in the 3rd round? If so they would have to play at Widnes, which if it s a big one like warrington last season, would bring us some extra money.

You are right, FV.

We really need the commercial part of the club to do well this season. I know we always do, but especially now. Including woolly hats with the new logo, for that game against Workington you picked out.
