It should be good game, and I'd prob have gone to it, but our ladies are hosting the Broncos in the Championship play-off final (we finished above them, therefore we're at home) with the winner then being a mere eighty minutes away from playing SL football next term.

It looks like Pascal has answered you mate. Anyway you answered your own question it is the RFL, so it is unfair for sure and a 50/50 game for me against Oldham and even if we win I can not see us going much further, and it is just a nice little earner of money for players. I would love us in the final but my money is on London winning it comfortably. If we lose I will be supporting Oldham, but I feel so many tough games for part time teams it will take its toll in my opinion. The extra rest for London and Newcastle will benefit them and London deserve to go up on merit, because I am a firm believer the top team should do mate. I am for promotion and relegation every season it brings excitement to the game, and something to play for to be honest. Sorry I did not meet you at the final I got there last minute and I am sure we will meet sometime.

Because Widnes have already beaten Oldham away in this play-off series. That game would have been utterly pointless if Widnes had to then travel to Oldham this week.

What £20 you mean £4 cheaper than regular home games?
The £20 is ok, but £12 for 12 to 18 year olds is a bit steep. Under 16's were free at the reverse fixture at Oldham 2 weeks ago.
£18 for concessions isn't much of a saving either, but I can possibly see why as this age group makes up the majority of our following.
Strange not to advertise the game, its not on the season ticket so everyone needs to buy a ticket and the last home game of the season. Less than 5 days to kick off.
@dan1 because Oldham get crowds of 1,006 against midlands probably why they’re doing free tickets for certain age groups.
i agree it’s annoying and weird the club aren’t pushing tickets for this game but I certainly don’t think people can complain at £20

We seem to favour X for any news these days. Which is alright, if that’s saving the club money, but tell the fans, we aren’t going to bother updating our own website very often , look on X for the latest news from the club.

For what it's worth, FV, I think the whole Club Website needs a massive overhaul. It's not doing what it should. Info is always way behind X, FB and Instagram Socials. It needs to be in an app format and it needs to stop asking you to sign up for the (No) Newsletter. That said, I'm sure 'Basher' will sort most glichs out in the off season.

the Championship needs a revamp re websites and follow as in part time football with a league website for fixtures results tables stats etc leading to identical formatted club links.........would give the Champioship a seperate identity to SL and also cheaper.
Also find a sponser for it........

Problem is not many clubs will make much as attendances are very low & gate money is shared. Hopefully Widnes & Oldham will male a few thousand.

The Play-Offs are all shared gates. Playing the Vikings is a payday. We have the best away following, and regardless of the rubbish spouted by London and Oldham, have the better home crowds.
As Mr Spellman will confirm, not playing us in 2026 has deprived the Lions of a decent pot of money.
