Reading the Barrow forum they are glad he has gone Sam Brooks 🙈 Doesn't fill you with confidence.

Wouldn't read too much into forums ...as many as there is that are critical of him there's far more that didn't mind him and in fact would rather have kept him over others ....lads a typical marmite player ....one who in the 2nd half of the game at barrow looked head n shoulders above any of our "super dooper stars" that have moved on ...I'll admit he's not the biggest yard maker but does have a very good offload game (which Coleman adopts) and he's light years better defensively than again some that have left...give the fella a chance 👍

Surely clubs give incoming players a medical before they sign? But possibly not, if Oldham had looked at Danny's calf muscle injuries they would have left him alone.

Just a suggestion but I would think that Foz and Gilmore would know what service they need from the pack, or am I over-thinking it??

Oldham will know all about Craven's career in the south stand at Widnes but clearly were willing to take a chance on him.Maybe they have a clause in place should he be out injured long term.Who knows.

It seems like Featherstone spending again. Be interesting how it goes without a benefactor. Unfortunately we don't have one so spending what can afford.

At 34, would Gareth Widdop consider part time rug by. Is he too old, would we want him and would he want to come to us.

I woutd we come him , probably past his prime but should still be a class act at championship level.

Widdop has retired.I assume he would've considered championship rugby if he wanted to continue playing.

Fear that we may go heavy with DR players given it is now mid-October and we have signed 2 new players.

Hope to be proven wrong.

Also, No.1 priority has got to be to get a good stand-off, Craven was hit and miss in the last 18 months but we still need quality to dovetail with Gilmore.
