That’s excellent. Stand out player for the last couple of seasons.

Really good news. It was imperative we kept him, a stand out player. Let us hope we get the big pack required to surround him & Tom.

Been rumoured for some time, but great to have it confirmed, our best player last season by some distance!

Think it's fair to say that he's the one we al hoped for. Good news.

It shouldn't ever have been in doubt. The sort of player and deal that should have been wrapped up and announced in May.

Good to see WVIPS and sponsor contributed to extending his contract. Hopefully more people will join WVIPS for £5 a month, because it is not that much to break people's bank accounts.

@ratboy Agreed it is good WVIPs have been able to contribute to retaining Fozzard. However the end of season update from WVIPs states the current membership only raises £25,000 per year. Although better than nothing is now not making that much difference.

@geoffw

tbh I thought that £25,000 from just over 100 members was pretty good. If our crowds were about 2,800 and say 800 were kids we could hope that half of the remaining 2000 could join.

That could see an annual boost of £250,000 which is not to be sneezed at!!

For £5 per month, including a possible draw, it could see a massive change in our fortunes!!!!

Do WVIPs have a name on our shirts?

Agree Fozard a good signing for 2024 but, as said, he should have been a key signing tied up long ago. Does that make 11 players signed up? Why the delay? Surely, contracts should now have been agreed for a few more incoming players.

Other than Sam Brookes, there are not even any rumoured signings doing the rounds.

@sandgroper It is more about the number of fans signed up although currently now 152. Whereas previous set up had nearer 1,000. I know we are in tough times financially but one seventh or so of previous member ship is a drastic fall off.
