For those not at the event tonight, the new kit is on the club's facebook feed.
The home kit is all white, with red and black trim. The away is all black with red trim.
They look very smart, everyone will have their own opinions but they look professional and I think they will sell well. They don't have hoops, or black sleeves, but you can tell its Widnes.
There is a Viking rune on the shirt, definitely on the white one and maybe the black. Apparently it is Vegvisir, which means wayfarera and the symbol helps you through storms. I am travelling tomorrow so I might get one to help with Storm Bram.
Anyway, there you go.
I like the white shirt. Think the black one’s a bit to similar to the one we had 2 years ago
Thought there was a good turnout tonight, about 300 there, with quite a few younger ones .
Foz doing his modeling bit again😁
Was there any mention last night as to when the new shirt will be available to purchase online? All that’s on there at the minute is 2025 one’s?
Johnnyboy, the club website says they are available on line from tomorrow (don't know what time) and from 12 at the club shop.
And apparently the rune is the "Helm of Awe" not Vegvisir, obviously a school boy error on my part for mixing up my runes. Actually, for all I know Vegvisir could be chain of wholesalers.
Luke Backhouse in attendance last night
@widnes_78 seen him at the business club meeting picture as well I think… speaking to flash
How much are the shirts? Genuine question as I’m wondering how the new supplier prices compare to last year.
I like them Both. Looked up the "Helm of awe". Very Cool...
The Helm of Awe Old Norse Ægishjálmr, pronounced “EYE-gis-hiowlm-er”) is one of the most mysterious and powerful symbols in Norse mythology. Just looking at its form, without any prior knowledge of what that form symbolizes, is enough to inspire awe and fear: eight arms that look like spiked tridents radiate out from a central point, as if defending that central point by going on the offensive against any and all hostile forces that surround it.
You live and learn.
Nice to have more of a connection to the Viking name other than a cute walking soft toy with a water pistol.
I like our DNA/blood line running through it. Hat's off to the Club and Derek
bought mine too - I think it’s the same as last year, hopefully the club make more money on it than last year
