I understand he is a really good character to have around the dressing room, which I think is something every team should have. That and the fact that we have to accept that we either get Super League players at the end of the career looking to go part-time or a local lad with potential from Championship Div 1, or from the wrong end of the Championship (as there are no local PT teams in the top half). I personally think the situation we find ourselves in isn't ideal, but it is what it is and we do need a mix of both experience and potential in our team. Without Craven and Amor etc, we need experience and we are also desperate for big props (like everyone). Without a benefactor (which isn't going to happen), we have very little choice imo. So, in short, he probably ticks more boxes than others available from the small pool we have available to sign from.
If he's willing to come and we can afford him, it's a no-brainer.
I agree it definitely is a no.brainer. Just because Amor did not work out it does not mean all older players are the same. If he wants to come for what we can afford sign him up fast. I would think Salford or Featherstone may be interested though.
