All a bit depressing that. Most of the people around me (myself included) seemed happy that the season is over.
Sat there, when it's chilly, having forked out £24, watching that display, it does sometimes make you wonder why. My overriding feeling is I'm glad to get my Sundays back.
I think I've been 7 home games this season and we haven't won any of them. The effort is mostly there, it's usually low on quality though, let's face it.
In an ideal world, we'd have a clear out and try fresh blood. But I doubt that can/will happen. What's the saying about trying the same thing over and again and expecting different results?
The club need to speculate to accumulate or we'll die a death of a thousand cuts. Our fan base is generally an older one, as those people stop going, which they will, then we'll slide even further. We aren't heading to SL, not a chance IMO, but let's at least compete in the Championship and serve up some entertainment.
The ref was a looker though, you don't get to say that very often.

The ref might have looked good GPO but certainly didn’t ref very well! I was very hopefully that a woman ref would be better… nope!
As for yesterday - it was a nothing game, AC was on a hiding to nothing with ‘luxury’ of resting players and letting those departing say goodbye.
I would’ve had liked to see the likes of Lawton and JJ still play unless they have knocks as they ‘may’ have made a difference (Condon looked like he’s already outta here and has his house in Leigh on his mind).
Too many can’t be arsed mistakes (Flem! Jesus!).
And what difference Maizo would’ve made!
Another season of coulda woulda shoulda… again.
Time to consider whether another season ticket next year is worth the bother… but I probably will!!!! 🙄
Listening to Coleman's interview he is too matey with players and too loyal to players like Gregson who is not very good. This loyalty could be detrimental to him getting sacked. I would get rid of several players and some have stayed too long.
The players he is loyal too gregson etc just avoided relegation with him so they weren't good enough then so why on earth are they good enough now ?!
gregson for me is our 4th best loose forward
It was very disappointing yesterday, even with the weak team we picked, we should still have won, but obviously the players couldn’t be bothered, the season for them was over and they didn’t bother trying. Strange how Maizen has missed 2 games now, because his wife was in labour must be one of the longest ever 🙄.
But it’s not very professional and not good for the fans paying good money to see them not try, and as others have said, it won’t help sell season tickets for next season.
She may be a looker but is a crap referee - having said that no worse than several others we have had this season.
The general standard of refereeing has been pretty poor.
No Lawton or JJ, does anyone know if they were injured or not selected?

Or if his wife has had the baby, why would the club drag him in to play in a meaningless dead rubber rather than spending time with a newborn?
The merger of Championship and League One should cause a reset in ticket prices across the board, but I won't hold my breath.
£24 to watch part-time players is one thing, but for fans to have to do it in a stadium where the council apparently can't be arsed to provide basic provisions is another. Ultimately, it's the club that people pay the ticket fee for, ergo it's the club that then lose out when people decide not to bother (not that only recording four wins on the pitch helps either).
@jdgsport but surely James, maizen now has a few months off with his family so playing one more game isn't a burden ? If that's the case do fans get money back on season tickets if we not playing strongest side or trying because it's a dead rubber? It works both ways 4 wins at home the rugby is dire at times but soon they'll be asking for season ticket money to watch Gateshead or midlands lol 😂
Not that we get a chance to be smug on here over the years. But the 4 games I have been to (6 actually if you count Rochdale and Crusaders) we have won 🙂
Perhaps we should all chip in to get you a season ticket next year, so you can attend all home games. Not that we get a chance to be smug on here over the years. But the 4 games I have been to (6 actually if you count Rochdale and Crusaders) we have won 🙂
@gpo1971 and then we re-sign Lyons another player whose been here failed and gets rewarded no ambition at all think that's my season ticket not renewed
with chapelhow that's 18 signed on we'd need 4 Australian internationals to drag the quality up
Great to read all this positivity
