without being too drastic the club need to come out and say something another poor loss at home and another poor season understandable we’ve had injuries but we need to recruit better and be more competitive on that pitch, if we wanted to be within anyone’s conversations about superleague but yet again we fall short of the play offs and end with a dire performance at home. There’s talks of having the right backing if we went up but where’s that backing now when we need it most? Are the club just trying to kid us?

@member151 more worrying is the fact they've signed most of the same players who have proved they're not good enough up for next season and how many of them would get into a top 4 team? Coleman has many good and bad faults but his loyalty to players who have proven they're not up to it makes his position more difficult

Six home defeats from twelve games and two draws.Ten points from a possible twenty four.

Well reading some of the comments on here regarding food and drink not being available the council or whoever in charge should hang their head in shame - doubt they will do that as they can claim ‘all stock sold !’

glad I didn’t go now, purchased the live stream so still suffered !
but saved hours on the motorway and was at home before I knew it !

Will be interesting to see what happens in the close season, fax finishing 5th with the smallest playing squad says a lot, and if rumours are true dr with Leigh would probably help

THIS!

I like AC but his stubbornness towards players that are not good enough is really concerning, and there is definitely a couple of them.

i have also, in more recent times, found his actions quite cringey

Coleman has to be under scrutiny signs Langtree who is always injured, but if stays fit is definitely one of the better forwards. Bent and Gregson bang average and gives them 2 year contracts? We lack a few big props and back rowers now if Condon and Rhodri leaving. The halfbacks are bang average and Will Roberts was our best halfback who is not ours unfortunanetly. Jury out on Jack Owens and Gilmore for me and I am also not a fan of Lyons. Some good players like Maizen, Foz, Edge, JJ and Murray but too many average players who would not get into most top 4 sides. Recruitment needs improving big time.

@begg gregson should be nowhere near our starting team jj or mcwhirter should be loose forward get your better players on the pitch no good keeping foz for 3 years if he only plays half the minutes same with jj you've spent good money to have them but don't get them on the park

a stand off a centre two props and a line breaking second row all starters need to be signed or more of the same will follow

but... if we all go back through the post at the end of season for years we have all said similar things and it's never happened

if there is finance available I suggest no matter what division we are in we take it spend it and win some games and actually challenge because doing nothing is a slow painful death after listening to people talking about not renewing season tickets today .

the club, well the fans need something to cheer and get behind winning games and a feel good factor brings that otherwise....

Very poor end- we were so predictable with our play, bomb on the last nearly every time...

I think the air went out of the balloon last week when we lost and London looked like they wanted it more. That disappointed me the most, although our really conservative play was also irritating!

Overall: 7th is probably a true reflection- 11 wins, 11 losses, 2 draws shows the lack of consistency. Injuries didn't help but some really clueless performances such as versus 11 man Doncaster in there too.

There are no excuses about being Top 6 in the new combined league next season. 2, possibly 3, of the best teams will be gone.

Today was really disappointing on the pitch but questions also need to be asked about off field communication and organisation in my opinion.

Very poor today. Looked a completely different side to the one that won away at Fev 2 weeks ago. Today we looked flat and busted and no one stood out. Some tried hard but we as a team can't break the line. We need to spend more on better players if we want to improve. Feels like we have stalled and gone backwards after today.

I agree with you totally. The most worrying thing is a performance like that to sign off with will certainly affect season ticket sales. Also in 2025 not having enough food & drink by half time is pathetic.

I hate to agree but we have definitely gone backwards & next year looks grim when you see who is retiring or leaving & who is already signed up. All 5 or 6 remaining places need to be filled by top players in their positions.

The only positives this season are the Ladies Team & the progress with younger players.

It was what it was a filleted team with first choice players missing, a stand off proving that he isn't, all in a team that changes weekly and rarely with the same players in the same positions.

A team that get on well is great for camaraderie but not necessarily generating a winning team.

Agree that we need to staff up with better/bigger squad members, get them playing as a team and the club not relying on picking up spares from elsewhere. Gilly needs a classy stand off with some fire in his belly and he can work, but Jack has never been a stand off iirc.

AC is playing a dangerous game re-paying past loyalties with new contracts and looks like he has already spent some of next years allocation presumably hoping that hidden talent will blossom.

We drew a good crowd today despite last week's disappointment and we showed them little respect. I have no great hunger for SL, a good competitive game satisfies me, with a win if possible, but we're not even getting that atm.

God willing I will be there again next year but for many streaming looks like a great way to reduce family costs and stock up on cheaper beer!

Let’s face it, we won’t be in super league next season so we have to recruit a good championship squad with improved quality signings to replace departing players.

the problem is that the standard of the league that we’ll be in is going to be much lower. Why would people pay £25 to watch rochdale, keighley, Hunslet etc

Said it once I'll say it a thousand times ...your ambition is reflected in your recruitment....fact gregson got another contract when he's been mediocre at best is astonishing...langtree won't play enough games ...bent only offers something in defence and nothing going forward ..bennion is an enigma ..mountain of a bloke that couldn't break wind ....if it's right we've got 17 of this squad on contract in 2026 we need at least 5 really good signings and not bang average borderline league one players ... probably going to run with a small squad again which means that 5 have to be a massive improvement on what leaves or is still here ...as our recruitment record for a good few seasons has been inept at best I'm going to fully expect another year of hoping to scrape into whatever play off system that's conjured up by the RFL for next season.
