Loan players

I am totally disillusioned with the dual reg system, I do feel a short/long term loan can be a positive thing. Short term 5 games long term season long loan. Simply sending 2-3 players to a club for a game can drastically change results in the leagues below and imo makes a mockery of the championship/league 1. I am glad IMG have come in as the game needs a lot of fixing

It is convenient for Halifax that they can call on the two player tomorrow.

That said, I think it did more harm to our way of doing things when Mamo, Patton et al came our way pre Covid.

DR works if you have a player for a stretch of the season; think Farrell in 2010 or Mellor/Tomkins in 2011 with us.

On the topic of loan players, a loan HB may not go amiss if we can get him for a few months....

The pitch is our downfall with loan players imo its a downfall for a lot of our injuries.

@mick-george I agree I think our pitch has  caused certain players injuries in the past but this time all the current injuries were in training or away in friendlies or league.games.

If Will Evans gone and Josh Johnson we should have money for 2 decent loan players from Super league. Depending who is available but Scrum half, Centre and possibly Prop positions need strengthing. Hopefully Farnworth and JJ are back soon.
