Very consistent performer since he's been at the club, surprised by this.
He was always in contention for my man of the match, speedy and skilled. And a nice person too.
I wonder if he has some injury problem and Alan has decided it is too risky?
If true, this is a shame, but we couldn't have four wingers again next year. Dixon is a great guy and a really good player. This decision, again if true, might explain why he played the way he did at York. He was probably under pressure to perform and tried to over do it, but who knows?
I wouldn't liked to have manged the winger situation, but if Dixon moves on his next club will have a really good addition to their squad.
If true it’s a real shame and if it happens before the season ends we’re in the same cycle of getting rid of players and not bringing better ones in and falling short again are squad is small already and this wouldn’t help. Deffo need to “ splash” the cash and actually signs players instead of season long loans.
Well at the moment have Dixon, Ince, Brookes and Butt as our wingers. Personally I have liked Dixon but I think Ince and Butt are our best wingers. I would have liked Dixon as our 3rd option but unfortunately Oldham probably offered much more money. I do not think we are strong on centres with Edge, Fleming and Max Roberts or Lloyd covering. 2 of these are playing in the forwards, so I prefer 3 wingers and 3 centres next season.
Need to keep Dixon for next few weeks until we are up to speed - once ince is back that is fine, this week no Fleming and unsure if edge is back - must be brand and Roby in centres - that is assuming roberts out with head injury ( why he was playing prop I will never know)

Edge is nearly their from a report from Ratters. A few more weeks and I agree may need Dixon in the next 3 games. If he is going we need to recruit too before releasing. If release too many it will hamper our chance of the top 6.
Why would we let players go mid season with no incoming,doesn't make sense to me.
It’s strange if we’re letting Dixon go, think he’s been one of our best players this season, apart from the York game. He can also cover at full back if needed.
