Sweet Jesus I hope that's true ..not a spring chicken anymore but be a great foil for either Lyons or Gilly

Would be a very shrewd signing, just turned 34 but would get us around the pitch and takes the ball to the line.

If this is true it means Dudson could be a possibility as Coleman might be wiling to take a few old heads to give us some experience in the team.

If this is true it’s only a positive for me yes at 34 his best days are behind him but he never relied on his pace always his skill and leadership, bringing him in on a year deal and help mentor Lyons with Gilmore maybe is what’s needed given I was resigned to the fact of having Gregson as the third half I would be really happy

with Gregson at 13 gilmore and Ford and Lyons  we wouldn’t half have some skill in the side just shows the odd signing can change the landscape and get fans on side I just hope they follow through

That would be a bit of a puzzling move for him to a team that plays on a 4G pitch given he suffered a knee injury that kept him out for nearly three months then 2 games into his comeback he suffered a dislocated shoulder and he only played 2 more full games at the backend. He's still a very good player on his day but it's hold-your-breath time every time he gets tackled.

May have lost a bit of his pace but last thing you lose are your ball skills and anyone that knows a shred about rugby knows he's massively talented skill wise ..just hope he stays injury free if he does arrive

At last a possible signing, who we might look forward to watching for his skill set rather than effort and grunt. Age and injuries maybe a problem, but a few old heads might guide the rest. For those of us of a certain age, who can forget the impact of Bill Ramsey and Brian Lockwood, two supposed has beens, all those years ago. Even Kurt got us to Wembley at 37! Lets hope its true and not kite flying!

Was not at his best at Fev, due in part to being out injured for a while, but......................

Still a quality footballer, and (if this rumour proves to be true) despite the fact that he's in the autumn of his career, could be a good signing for you.

Also if it happens, pretty much rules out Gregson playing at six.

Time will tell.

Spelly.

@wirralviking injuries are a major problem playing on a plastic pitch with a dodgy knee.
