Last week they beat Batley 28-24 away

a bad 15 minutes out of 80 does not equate to a struggle at all.
Very good to get back to winning ways! By no means perfect but a much better performance and team effort today and it’s always good to see us win! Still think we need an attacking halfback just look at hunslets 6. And finally credit where credit is due to Owen’s thought he was very good today.
We’ were playing well till Fozzard went off, then we started playing well again when fozzard came back on.
He was MOM despite only playing 50 minutes. Edge played well again and Reilly.
We also play better with Edge at full back and Owens in the centre. They can’t test him with high up and under there.
We also desperately need a player who can kick well in general play, nearly all of Gilmore kicks went straight down their players throats, and at least 3 penalties he tapped rather than kick for touch

agree with the kicking issue it was the same on 5th tackle plays on there line we had nothing but a flat ball to the 2nd row a little kick or some spark needed, I reckon leyland or ratchford from Warrington would be good players for next year lol!
I didn't go to the game but from the commentary it seemed the wind was causing problems. Presumably Gilmore didn't kick for touch because the penalties were given near the centre of the pitch and he thought the wind could play a part. And he did kick 4 out of 5 conversion attempts from difficult positions. Why can it never be a convincing win for us
I'd say scoring twice as many as the opposition, on their midden is pretty convincing to me.

Stand outs for me were, Foz, Lyons, Edge, and Danny Langtree was immense. Gilly does what Gilly does

@viking32 Gilmore did well with his conversion attempts, just his kicking in general play that’s poor. I agree it was windy, but Hunslet managed to get some good kicks in, one 40/20 and another that would have been if we hadn’t run back and did a great lunge at the ball to stop it going into touch.
