Hooter gone at last.
I suppose - a win's a win.
Well it wasn’t a convincing game by any stretch but a win is all that matters at the end of the day and move into the next round.
gave them 3 or 4 of their tries and had to work hard for our own. Attack seemed to be missing a spark except for 2 individual scores from Roberts.
Regroup, get in for video and move on
I suppose we can take from the last three games that we can see out tight finishes. I don’t think we should be praying for the hooter against Hunslet but a win is a win and we’re in the next round which is the main thing. Winning after a disappointing performance is a good habit. Onwards and upwards.
We have played poorly against Rochdale, Crusaders, Sheffield (although terrible weather) and now Hunslet but won all of them. With respect, by Championship standards 3 of them we should be beating more easily.
A tough run of fixtures coming up now against Batley away, Warrington home, Doncaster away and York away.
Just imagine if the Warrington game was away. Sheffield on the 23rd of Feb at home followed by Barrow at home on the 13th of April is absolutely ridiculous.
I agree the distribution of league games is terrible, and when you couple that with our terrible ( bar 1) cup draws it makes it worse
by the time we play dire we will have played 6 away and one at home and the rest of March is no better !
As a grumpy old man I feel entitled to complain about our fixture list. We will have a number consecutive home games later on in the season followed by a run of away matches. Why???
The RFL are clueless, the championship and League 1 both have an odd number of teams which obviously means clubs have blank fixture weeks. Why??
Yes, I agree, we conceded three identical tries on our left side defence, and gave them a 90-meter intercept, too. I did think that they looked strong and aggressive, though, as most Yorkshire sides to against us, but we were able to overcome a 10 point deficit in the second half after a good half-time hairdryer, presumably from Coleman. It was really Max Roberts who pulled us out today with two great individual efforts, but a worrying performance for me on a number of fronts. But, it is all about winning!
On the BBC commentary the same defender bought the dummy from their stand off three times and gave them three tries.
