Holroyd to Swinton for the rest of the year.

Presumably won't see him in a Widnes shirt again?

Good luck to him, maybe better suited at this point to the League below?

To be fair, you’d have got pretty short odds on us being in the league below next season.

Agree though, the lad is probably better suited to the level he’ll be playing at. Good luck to him and hopefully the loan goes well for him.

Sorry, meant to say ‘short odds on us a couple of weeks ago’

Nah, even at our worst point in the season we would have been 20-1 minimum to get relegated.

Seemed a good signing based on his try scoring record at Workington, but couldn’t repeat that form in the few opportunities he had this season.

Maybe in a few year’s time, he will be another ex player coming back to Widnes after succeeding elsewhere!

Good luck to him at Swinton.

I wish him good luck. He definitely has pace but possibly lacks confidence at this level.

@frankg To be fair to the lad, I think better wingers than Holroyd would have struggled to make an impression on the wing for us for most of the season 😉

@mt True enough, I was being a bit tongue in cheek 😁

According to our 'site, you've recalled him due to your injury list.

Thank you to him for what he did for us.

Spelly.

How did you rate him Spelly? Did he play wing?

Centre and wing mate, and as we have serious injury problems of our own, it's a pity (for us) that he's a Chemic again, but that's the chance you take when it's not a "proper" signing.

So he played well for you then? Must be a fair chance you will get him back next season.

Possibly mate, but.................

Obviously, a lot'll depend on which division we're in, as to who we'll sign / re-sign.

Hopefully, we'll be in the middle tier, with the likes of you mob, and Sheff on our fixture list, which'd make recruiting a little easier, but..........

We could be (again) heading for Llanelli, and Penryn, making potential signings think (at least) twice before putting their moniker on the Lions' dotted line.

Time will tell!

Spelly.
