Tough game coming up on Sunday. Made that bit harder with Lawton suspended. Hope Doro is fit enough to play in his place . I'm going for Widnes by 6..

Be a real challenge. If you take Leigh out of it, Batley’s last league defeat was the first week of March.

Hopefully our players step it up and put on a show.

Can't see a win but  hopefully at least a competitive display.Going to Batley as underdogs is depressing.

I’m hoping for a good display and a win, I think with the players playing for a new contract and players going out the door already it should be an improved performance from the team

Batley are a very strong side and it’s a tough place to go at the best of times. That said it will be a good guide to where we are currently at under our new coach and I would like to think we will be competitive. Hoping for better but will predict Batley by 14. Looking forward to the trip to one of my favourite RL venues anyhow.

Sad but true Sinny, to coin the song, 'We're not famous anymore'

Anyhow, for a damn good pick me up, RL fans Warrington message board is wonderful after last nights events at the Geri Halliwell. 15 pages of Dire fans mauling each other scared rigid they'll be playing us next season

Why is that ? Batley have been better than us for a while and we are a mid table team. It's not the 80's now.

Batley is the hardest place bar Leigh and Fev to go.

As long as we don't capitulate like we did at Mount Pleasant last season and we show effort and a level of organisation I'm happy, a win would be a real statement of improvement......

Always the stock answer,it's not 1989 anymore.Yes,I get it.We aren't champions and we aren't a big club anymore. It's been 30 years and that's long enough to accept our status and low ranking. But I still find going to Batley as underdogs a bit depressing.

Batley by 28,

Formidable on their own ground, and although we are 4/4, we have crawled over the line in the 3 home wins.

See you all there.

It’s an age thing isn’t it ? I was in my prime in the. 80’s and am now just about to become a pensioner. I find that a bit depressing too 🙁
