The first four games are up against some difficult opposition, two (Halifax and York) have built upon a good last season, one (Bradford) has shelled out big style after finishing behind us and the other (Cougars) is unknown at our level. I myself think we must win at least three of these four to show we are a feasible threat to the top of the league while four loses will be hard to make up. Any thoughts👍👍🏉🏉
Don't believe the hype.
I'll be disappointed if we don't get at least 3 wins from these games.

Three out of four would be a good return. None of the games are easy but they are all winnable if we put it together.
Let's not forget last year we had a great start of the season but were out of the running for Top 6 by May.
Halifax won 2/5 last year and finished miles and miles ahead of us.
York have a good side but nothing that terrifies me. Think it should be even.
Keighley have signed well on paper, but it's a home game and I would be disappointed to lose.
For Bradford, seem to have signed a few older players, see how they pan out.
Halifax are to be respected: again it's a home game and we should be up for it after the shocker last season at home against them.
Overall, not easy, but if we are organised and defend well then they won't be wanting to play us either.
Must be me but I only think we will beat fax at home and close defeats the rest
hope I'm badly wrong
Interesting comments, I think York away is a winnable which will set the stall for the next few games, Keighley are on the box against fev so that could show us where they are - reckon fev will be top 4 at worst
then we play Keighley and Bradford on box against York - again that should indicate where we are
halifax - really not sure could be really dark horses
toulouse are the unknown as rumours say they are cash strapped and only have 20 players signed
barrow - reckon they are blown, batley will struggle without Gilmore, Sheffield not sure as ever, Whitehaven will be relegation fodder
swinton,Newcastle, and London mid to bottom
I'd settle for two wins.Glass half empty.
It's better playing good teams early doors as nobody is match fit or really gelled. This makes the playing field more level and the team that hit's the ground running stands a better chance. Let's hope it's us.
Looking at the league and the teams within, it's going to be a challenge for anyone this year. It's a tough league we're in. There's good teams there, it's not going to be easy for anyone. I can't see there being a runaway team this year, looks more a case of who-beats-who on the day. It's going to be tough for us I think.
I mean I know we don’t have a super league squad but we have to believe this squad is good enough to win these games and maybe only 2-3 clubs have an equal/better squad as we need to be top 4 this season
According to the BBC Sport website this Sunday morning, we are second in the Championship table behind Toulouse!
Let's hope that we are in the same position later today 😆
@ditton-donkey I think that's a fair assumption. I think we could possibly challenge Featherstone for that SL spot. We will beat Keighley then Bradford and Halifax will be a good test to see where we are now.

Well, well, well.
It should be 4 from 4.

- Well 3 from 4 with the loss at Bradford in the last minutes. We have shown we are capable of beating 11 of the opposition teams in this league with our displays so far. Toulouse & Featherstone probably being the exceptions certainly away. Of course it is very early days other teams will gel as the season progresses & improve but so can we. To beat 3/4 of the no mug teams we have played with 3/4 top players missing I am more optimistic than I have been for years. Last year we won the first 4 but they turned out to be the bottom 4 sides. That will not be the case this year. COYV!
Yes pretty good start and the teams we have beat have won a few as well
injuries could well become a problem, we are on 2 half backs and looks like 2 centres(assuming evans gone ) for the next 4 months, we need a utility back on loan from somewhere.
Sheffield away Sunday - no walk in the park there, followed by( hopefully) an easy win in the cup giving a run out to our unused players, then Toulouse at home- hopefully farnworth and j back by them
