Where's this Percy rumour come from, I've read it a couple of times. He's still class and would walk into most SL teams. 

True, but with his past injury list plus his age he must be thinking about getting a job ( if he hasn't got one!!)

@widiot If Percy and Mellor are genuine rumours it marks a change in recruitment strategy. Both fulltime SL players over 30.

@dan1 the last 30+ full time SL player we signed turned out to be a disaster

agree there but he was on his last legs anyway but Percy has at least 2 years in him and being a Widnes boy who knows ?

@7-vikingnomad definitely don’t disagree with that. This was the first I’d heard of that rumour though. Not seeing it anywhere else
