Why do we assume Doro wanted to sign for Widnes ? Perhaps he was offered a deal but turned us down.He's signed for a better team,he's moved up.
We don't know the ins and outs but I liked Doro. Hard working, aggressive, fast and plenty of development in him. I would have him over Walker, Tilleke as well but I assume Tilleke is on less money.
You would think as he was at Warrington and then already with us on loan we would be in the box seat. Maybe he chose Halifax over us with 2 offers on the table? If Fax have out bid us then that's disappointing as I think Doro is worth a decent wage at Championship level for the workload he brings. If he just picked Halifax as they are a better team than us, which for the last 2 or 3 years they have been, then nothing we can do.
Doro is young enough and good enough to still harbour ambitions of playing SL again so it’s not surprising if he has indeed chosen the team that finished third in the table over the one that finished eighth. He will want to keep his profile as high as possible.
