@mt I agree. He must have passed his head test otherwise he couldn’t be 18th man. How are Brown and Holroyd better options on the bench than Hatton?

You could say that Amor summed it up well after the game, but perhaps his comment to Kev Brown before the game shows the real problem? If you missed it, Amor had told Kev that he might not get on today if they don’t need him - which just shows the lack of respect for the opposition!

For me, they had the game won after they defended 4/5 sets on their line and realised we were fudging clueless having tried the same route of attack several times! After that their confidence grew and grew and technically I think Dewsbury played a great game.

Reality is though that being out of both cups, we are now skint.

@cuerdley-viking but why do we wait until it becomes a crisis lose the fans etc before we get forced into changing? We needed players weeks ago kear can't change a team we can't even name 21 some weeks ! Today wilde in the centre never a plan and we've needed a centre for weeks you lose Gilmore yet don't sign a half back we have no one in the club who looks forward it's always easier to recruit when stronger than when your losing games and you've let all other teams have first pick !!! Rant over well played dewsbury

Chris Price is a hell of a nice guy & I'm sure the directors are to. In my opinion, they are out there depth running WV and very naive to boot. Throw in a coach who is well passed his sell by employing yesterdays tactics and you have the perfect mix for a shambles

@cuerdley-viking I know Chris and yes he is a nice guy but the club is stagnating rapidly there are fewer comments from our open board than ever which with our fan base leads to scaremongering of debt etc ! We have money just don't know how to use it don't seem to have a long term plan or aims that us the fans can buy into

In a nutshell, that sums up the mindset of this rabble. Pub side set up.

Players unfit with low skill levels and seemingly little desire to get stuck in....Kear was a dinosaur of a coach 10 years ago and even more outdated now....We may as well bring back Dougie as at least he won things (that was a joke before anyone starts)

@a-cape that doesn’t answer my question though, I agree that the club has to make these decisions, maybe Amor player/coach? Has kear lost the respect of the players? I know Amor didn’t have a great game but he seems to have good ideas on the tv

This really is a watershed time - as said before our squad was 28, we lost 2 before injuries and suspensions, and have brought in ….. zero

apply the injuries and suspension, are we really that surprised ?
dewsbury played 4 won 4, got a good coach, players playing for him - notice a difference ?

time to act is well gone, but we need new blood NOW

as also said pity to swinton as I reckon that result may put their gate down by 300

one good thing saved me a few Bob going to Wimbledon and meeting up with the mad Frenchman - probably in pinkies by now !

onwards and upwards

@mckviking I wouldn’t have Amor working the turnstiles. We are not a fckin comedy club. The blokes stealing a living.  There are better coaches everywhere, ffs, Liam Finn has tore Mr Kear a new one today!

Do you remember when we appointed a coach from dewsbury and he brought loads of their players with him ?

When was the last time we lost a proper cup game to lower league opposition; I genuinely can't remember; I know we lost in Pool matches to Oldham and Barrow in the NRC in 08 and 09....

Its a special kind of achievement....
