Dewsbury game

@a-cape I’d let him work the turnstiles! The money he’s on he should be painting the lines on the pitch as well 🤣

I just don’t want us sacking the coach without a better replacement.

watching the game on sportsman I had to turn it off with few minutes to go as it was just passing me off too much, I turned it back on and kear was being interviewed, I like his honesty but I feel he’s just going through the motions, I think the club would help itself by having an open discussion at the stadium this week and have board/coach/captain there with all welcome £10 entry fee to pay for new half back 🤣

This set up has had more than enough of my hard earned. Fuckin sick to the back teeth of them. It’s rotten from top to bottom.

Don't mind loosing but it's the way we lost that's most upsetting.  We looked 2nd best throughout the contest and piss weak in defence, clueless in attack. Absolutely rubbish performance made worse by Kyle Amor's post match comments.

@a-cape I agree 💯

we need to offer solutions on this forum rather than just outlining the problem though as I feel it is monitored by someone at the club or someone who knows someone

Sacking Kear isn’t a reaction from this game- I’ve said it all season.

We are so poor.

York we were ok, lucky they lost a half back early on. Keighley again, ok, although they scored easy tries from deep. Halifax we were really good, probably, again, lucky Halifax lost players in the first half and the Newcastle game we were lucky it didn’t go on for another 10 minutes- otherwise we’d have lost.

To me, we’ve had 1 good performance all season- Halifax. The others have just be average.

The style of rugby is the biggest negative to Kear, for me. It’s so boring. Crowds are down each game, even though we’re 4th in the league. Surely that’s down to the style of play. 1 up rugby has had its day. This is meant to be entertainment.

The players look like they’re not playing for each other, not playing for the coach and look like they don’t know what to do.

@mckviking with all due respect mate, solutions should be made at board level, not by a gaggle of pissed off fans. We fans are simply mushrooms, kept in the dark and fed on shite. I’ve proper saw my arse with that performance. I can accept getting beat, it’s part an parcel of being a widnes fan, but to rock up with the attitude shown by our so called experienced pack leader before kick off, sums up how far we have to go. It’s a million miles off being competitive. The board, bless them, they’ve saved our club (along with us idiots, putting in our coin!) but they’ve obviously not got a pot to slash in. Sad, sad times.

This season is another write off imo, and from what i hear we are skint.

What a sad state of affairs

Really poor performance all round, I thought we were in trouble when no one backed Walker up.

Well done to the fans who travelled today, when they could have watched it without having to get over to Dewsbury.

What I don't understand is the club clearly should have budgeted for the contracts of Evans and Johnson so we can't be THAT skint not to replace them, surely?

None of that excuses some of the lack of tackling we saw in the last 20 against Newcastle and for most of today.

I've already made arrangements to go to Swinton on Friday because I'm meeting a friend and I expected us to win.

I'm still going but unless the coaches predictably boring tactics change, it'll be Spelly who will be cheering on the winning team.

Agreed Former Chemic, but I didn't see any tactics today.

There needs to be a real response against Swinton.

No heart or desire when things are going wrong. Nobody to dig deep and lead from the front. At Sheffield, 16 points down in as many minutes, they battered and bullied us and we looked like scared rabbits in the headlights. Their desire, determination and enthusiasm put them streets ahead of us. I thought it was a one off that every team experiences, but no. Today was another display of ineptitude, poor basic skills and complete lack of desire and determination. And this against a Championship 1 side. Even with injured players returning, it's hard to see things changing.

He did. The only one who can remotely be satisfied with their performance.

I know the game was lost but subbing him off when we were down to 12 was ridiculous.

Grady always puts a shift in. Player of the season so far. If everyone had matched his effort levels today the result might have gone differently.
