As I said earlier I met Chris at a forum and he came over very professional and knowledgeable. He has nothing to do with the picking of the team so how he can be held accountable for the disaster of a season is beyond me. He came in to add to a back room team in relation to the IGM because non of our directors had that background experience.

I don't understand us fans ?
we always seem to need a hate figure !! Hamilton hasn't dropped passes or kicks or missed tackles or selected the wrong players!! He has done his job he set up the longhouse got rid of the stupid dual reg so we now get paid if our players play elsewhere that's his job and he's done it creating 2 new revenues yet we want to pick on him and blame him !! And what if he did go in the changing rooms after the game and say a few harsh words isn't that what we all wanted to do ? To get rid of the funbus culture tell the players some home truths coz no playoffs again in this division proves the players aren't good enough

So let's just do a quick recap on who the knobheads are according to the Oscar Wilde's on here: obvs there's Kear, all of the players (including squad members who haven't even been playing), Chris Hamilton, the Council, all of the refs, Swinton (their pack and their team bus), IMG. Have I missed anyone? That's a lot of knobheads.

The first team and the (ex) head coach had more than enough to be in a much better league position than we are at this stage of the season.

The performances that were put in in June were a disgrace and thankfully have been deemed unacceptable by the club, which gives me hope that they at least know we should be achieving much better.

Any outside influences that this message board deem as a reason for us losing our last 4 games the way we have are not factors why we have lost those games, this is down to the players, the coaches and the environment that the coaches should have created.  Nothing else.

He was but he left the problems behind when he left.

Think you need to go back to the 1990's mate to net all the knobheads

I had a talk with a director on Sunday prior to the match and what he said really shocked me.

I don’t want to write off the season but we need two or three more wins to avoid relegation and as some players contracts are due up soon we need to start again with a new coach (soon as poss) he can choose new players and start again in Feb. I hate saying that because at 72 I don’t have that many Februarys in front of me👍👍

Martin I was sat in the darkside on sunday for hospitality for fathers day and it was crap and unorganised. In the stands we where sat with the Swinton coaches and the director ( who was an arrogant sod) the coaches where saying that they wished they had our budget and what they could acheive with it, makes you think whats wrong. The attendence was the worst for years and looking at the north stand it was really empty, somethings got to give and very soon.

Chris Hamilton has been involved in Lower league rugby for years, not sure how qualified he is to ready a club to hit the targets for the off field targets for promotion.

Whist running Oldham, they seemed to face loads of winding up petitions for unpaid bills, so on the surface doesn't seem a good administrator.

As for impressing someone during a chat, I will give James Rule as exhibit A, talked the talk and charmed many on here, but turned out to be a disaster.

@martin what did he say?

I asked him about the run we were on and the team and he told me honestly “ the players aren’t good enough and believe their own CV” AND spoke honestly about Keir

That was before kick off and after watching that on Sunday I think the team got their CVS out again and re-read them again.

if you also read the  league Express, even Keir says  there are problems but “we aren’t going to share them publicly”

We need to take a look at how Bradford are being ran, they got rid of kear and slowly built some good performances and a very competitive squad especially considering they don’t have a head coach, they constantly have updates from the board about what’s going on and really involve the fans especially when they can only be running on the same if not similar budget to us. We could learn a thing or two… hopefully they give us that 10k back soon😂

Not wanting to call Hamilton out. However speaking to Oldham fans last year who had travelled to watch there team away. I mentioned the mike ford consortium and was they sad to see Hamilton go after all his hard work. They laughed and said if only people new the half of it. Next thing Oldham are back playing in there own postcode after 20 or so years. No smoke without fire?
