So Max Roberts has signed at centre, 22 years old, played at Oldham in 2021 and Swinton in 2023. Seems likes he's in the young and promising bracket. I would assume Lewis Hatton has also signed at prop given Swinton have announced hes signed for a rival Championship club and its rumoured to be us.

If we retain the rest of the squad that could be us complete signing wise, the club stated recruitment for 2023 was virtually complete and signings would be announced in due course.

I must admit after the rumoured increase in budget I'm somewhat underwhelmed if that's it signing wise. Jordan Johnstone is the only stand out signing for me. Amor would have been 3 years ago, but at 35 he's obviously winding his rugby career down. Last year we signed a lot of players from relegated Oldham, this year we have signed players from the likes of Swinton and Whitehaven.  For me we finished in mid table 8th position and the signings we have made point towards another mid table position again next year.

Hopefully we have one more headline signing to make, along the lines of a Krisnan Inu, time will tell. I just thought we would push the boat out and sign a couple more stand out players at Championship level.

I thought we may have signed a few from Leigh who don't want full-time. The prop who went to Keighley 🙈

Not really - considering he was given an 8 match ban, in June I think it was, and we seem to be well off for props now.

Tbf to gwaze the bsn was embarrassing...I was actually at the game when he got done for lifting miloudi n to say he made a meal out of it is an understatement but yeah letter of the law but to get 8 games is a joke ....anyway I heard he was Newcastle bound but only rumour

I was impressed with Josh Ralph last night for Wales,He’s currently playing in the NSW Cup he might be worth a chance plays Stand Off for the Mounties,Would certainly strengthen the squad with Owens and Craven’s injury records over the last 18 months.

Yes Ralph looked good, looking at the team now, fb same, wingers Dixon an improvement on holroyd, centres and half backs about the same with potential to be better.front row has improved, back row much the same. We could do with one of the big tongans in the pack

is there a big signing to come ?

RALPH would be a decent punt because all we have is LYONS, GILMORE and CRAVEN, none of them have any pace! CRAVEN playing out his contract so I doubt he will play more than 10 games after last year's injuries and poor form.

Fair point, I just feel we need to try something/someone different and other clubs seem to find these rough diamonds so why can't we? A season of two from three of LYONS/CRAVEN and GILMORE is not floating my boat.
