With a good preseason he can hopefully do a job and we’ve been missing size in the pack for years

A 'local' lad as well! Sounds like JK is a good man manager who looks after his lads, even when they aren't in his team.

Looks like a bit of extra timber needs moving tbh, but that's what pre-season's for!!

Ant Walker is an awful signing for Widnes

This is the guy who went through a full pre season under JK and end up putting on weight from 2021.

Some comments below from other Bulls fans

Thats Walker officially gone thank god. Useless fat lazy waste of space. A disgrace to the badge and everyone whose worn it before him being in the shape he was in

I gave Walker the benefit of the doubt during his first season back and assumed that he would get himself in decent shape after his first season and really kick on. For him to turn up so out of shape for that second season told me everything I needed to know about the standards of the playing squad for last year. Amateur players are in better shape than some of our 'semi-pro' players.

At least when we play Widnes we know exactly who to target. Seen milk turn quicker.

Glad to see the back of Walker who is up there with Lauaki as one of the worst props I've seen in a Bradford Jersey.

@bulls2487 doesn't he have abnormalities in his brain which forced him to retire in 2017?

He did but was given the all clear at end of 2020.

I couldn't give a monkeys what his form was like at Bradford nor his shape...all about what he does in 2023 ...people can say what they like about his weight ...but he's not really alone in under performing at Bradford...as many others did ..I'd say bar Gill.doyle..Lawford when he came in  nobody performed regularly at Bradford....its sometimes easy to just blame the guys belly or whatever ..theres some supposed better players at bradford who performed far worse...by all accounts Beswicks a ruthless taskmaster so hopefully a good pre season under his belt n he'll be good to go ..

Hopefully Bob Beswick ( if he is still with us) can get him fit then!

He offers size and experience at prop. Which are things we have been lacking in. Obviously Kear has coached him at both Bradford and Wales so he must be confident of what he can offer for us. Would like to think he will go well.

Correct.I'm not overwhelmed by the signing admittedly but he starts with a clean slate at Widnes.Bradford were shite, with or without him.

@sinbad exactly mate ..tbh I think he's coming in as an impact player off the bench n can't see him being on big money either..definitely brings something different to last season

Agreed m, a clean slate and with a successful preseason could be just what we’re looking for

for whatever reason things didn’t gel at Bradford but hopefully we’ll get a couple of good seasons out of him, maybe he’ll have a point to prove
